NBA Live 10 Impressions From Da_Czar

Da_Czar recently had an opportunity to head out to EA Canada and played a ton of NBA Live 10. Check out his impressions, right here. Two Czarisodes will be available next week.

While elated to have an opportunity lay my hands on the game early I also had a few demands of the LIVE team on my visit. I wanted to be certain no one was spiking my kool-aid (berry blu), so I requested that outside of my tour I be locked away and allowed to play with no one telling me �hey this is cool look at this�. To my surprise they had the exact same thing in mind. I was shocked by how open they were with their product. As I always do I will give it too you straight... No chaser... But to the haters of the series that also includes things I enjoyed about the experience."

Freestyle passing may be the biggest hoop game invention since the shot stick for 2k for me. I literally don't like passing any other way. And it boggles my mind now why the games i play now stop my momentum when I'm passing on the run.

Very well implemented I hardly ever passed to someone i didn't mean to pass to. Words can't describe how sweet and rewarding it is to see a man open and hit em with that sweet dimage.... my capture room sounding like this "Dam....Nice ... Ohhhhhh (hi pitched)" LOL

lakers are a problem in this game man. i played a game where kobe finished with 28 , artest had 18 and pau had like 24. The shot distribution is a thing of beauty.

I was being blown out by the lakers one game and kobe played in the 4th but wasn't aggressive. then the next game I had cleveland @ LA and in the 4th had them down like 8.

The Kobe turned into the Mamba and it was lights out. Kobe is a problem.... Dwade is a problem.... It was surreal. i have certainly played games where the players had the right animations. and in live 09 most times they were in the right positions. But I would have sworn to you when I played the game they had the right mindsets.

they would attack just like you would expect. Playing miami dwade was not deferring. there were some possessions where He would get the ball and just do that Iso thing and if you stopped him He would back out and go again.

Again I want to play more to see if this is an anomoly. Its like they somehow captured those guys mental state.... Again its something i want to see again for myself but it was just uncanny.

honestly i don't like making these statements because I don't want the hype to get out of control the game is not perfect. But I would be lying to you if I said that wasn't what was in my mind as I played.
so take that for what its worth. i desperately want the game in my environment so i can see how deep this thing is.

Congrats Czar and wow cant wait to hear what dynamic season is....

Does Live still have that thing where when you pass out of the post to the weakside the player catching the ball always has his foot on the line? Not sure if your realized this in 09 but it cost me tons of games where I needed a 3 to tie it up and the player caught the ball with his foot on the line.

I played against the blazers and they are a very good team. Mr roy will be a handy weapon for you. Aldridge J was finding its target and The Big fellah down low really bothered shots in and around the basket. i'm sorry man i saw soo much that i can't accurately comment on the Jumpers. Visually no one looked really bad but again i was playing and not really examining the players likenesses but i knew who everyone was by sight.

I shant be able to answer you on this one. Being that we will have a 2010 battleground I would hate to give an early impression score that someone somewhere will def try to hold me to. I will need many many more hours with this title in the ol man cave to come up with something fair.

this is easily the best nba live game ever. Its not even really close.

whoa ray that is very specific and i can't recall that ever happening but don't take that as its fixed okay famliy I def don't want to mislead anyone. Now that I am aware of it though that is something I could keep an eye out for once the game arrives and let you know.

Thanks, I hope they got Aldridge's jumper right. I've already seen Roy's, which looked great, so I hope the same goes for LA.

Thanks Ray i was soley comparing the in game ISO's because when i switched between the two to test is was very obvious. I believe those are things that can be adjusted. don't let me speak for the devs but I believe things like that can be not sure if they would though.

Honestly Ray this is why i really want the game here now so i can make an evaluation like that. I was just shocked that it happened you know. And then your thinking was that a glitch or did he do that on purpose.

but while your looking for that their running a play for beasly.

this is a game that may need to be digested slowly because when something happens your like did that really just happen. i really really look forward to seeing how when these things happen.

From what i remember there seemed to be a very good balance between set plays and Iso's and such.
