Nice.
Ray that point was laughable but it was a huge reach dude. Im not sure where you stand to be honest with you. First you say you arent getting the game because its too many off the backboard layups, then you're trying to smoke one of the plays because KG dunked without looking like an old man.. I just expect more from you man, you've been here too long for that kind of stuff.

Im not going off topic to make the post about you or anything man, but I feel like there are more and better things to concentrate on in the game that can make or break the gameplay other than an athletic guys leg position on a dunk

Its alot going on in that video...shoot the arena alone is better. Live 09's arena minus the the audio was dead

Would it be safe to assume this build is final?

Video was cool, I liked the move Garnett pulled off in the post.

The gameplay in this game is looking very good and smooth. It seems EA is stepping up and shaping up to be better than 09. Looks like theres a good chance I won't be playing 2k10 this year.

But just from afar I can tell exactly right now the interior defense needs to be tweaked with sliders.

A defense that has KG and Knucklehead (R.W.) inside arguably two of the best ever low post defenders shouldn't have guys just going to the rack on cruise control. One of Boston's strength's defensively is their ability to rotate and bring helpside defense quickly.

I also thought the passing was kinda sloppy but that can be tweaked by reducing the INT slider.

CPU offense was running the same generic default plays from what I saw. Usually those plays consist of very little ball movement and they give you simple catch and shoot plays and a basic post up play.

But from what I read we have unlimited potential to enhance the CPU's offensive sets this year. I also think the physicality (sp)can be stepped up a bit and maybe lowering speed will result in more contact or help the game render more physical play inside.

Of course this wouldn't apply to teams such as Phoenix and Golden St but you get the idea of where I'm going with it especially for playoff type games or matchups during the season. I've seen enough of this years version that has me motivated enough to actually play it all year again which didn't happen over the past two years once the hype died down.

Oh Yeah and when will we finally hear the best voices in the business Doug Collins and Kevin Harlan do a video basketball game together for once. They should be the 2nd commentary team in this game if not the 1st since Kerr is no longer doing it and I want a change of pace to Albert for once.

Yeah, the color commentary is really nice (and the storylines will fit into that category) but the play-by-play needs some upgrades - too much dead air, and repeated lines from before.

But like stephenson said, it's just 2 mins, so we'll see..

I will quit before allowing Collins and Harlan to be in LIVE.

Marv is still the best PBP in the biz, with Breen coming in second. Kerr was my fav color guy in his day, although I'm liking Van Gundy lately.

Collins seems to fall in love with certain players states the obvious constantly. Harlan is all show.

That said, this kind of thing is all opinion.

Marv Albert's my favorite commentator so him being in Live is a plus for me

Breen's the man.

I don't think you guys have enough memory space (or Kleenex) to bring Collins on board. You'd have to cut out all the audio of him talking about who he coached in the past instead of talking about actual gameplay.

I think the complaint about commentary is that it sounds so dry. Not fresh anymore. Kerr is insightful. He just sounds dead. Plus, there's alot of empty space while the game is being played. Again, Breen rules.

Lol, yes. If I hear about when he coached Jordan again I will lose my mind.

Agreed commentary needs more life. However, its much better than that clip shows.

Van Gundy is brilliant, but his sense of humor would be a real challenge to capture in a game. Marv, Czar and Kerr have predictable banter, but Jeff will give listeners an odd casserole of insightful and brilliant head coach knowledge with a random reformative views of the rules. E.G. "I think we should do away with the foul out rule. Just award the other team a free throw when a guy gets more than six or seven fouls".

I don't even know how you capture such genius, lol. Though I'd kill to hear Jeff lose it when you give up an offensive rebound on a free throw.

I nominate Walt 'Clyde' Frazier (NY Knicks Radio) for commentary. That guy has more funny phrases and is pretty insightful...the King of Cool

Really? judging by you're username say no more.

The game still looks unrealistic and cartoony.
I can't say how much improved Live is this year - I only rented Live'09 and was quickly disappointed so I didn't play it much.
But to me it looks like the same unrealistic game - at least compared to 2K.
I think it's something to do with the player models. The way they're built looks too cartoony. This is not KG, Lebron or Rasheed! If they didn't have numbers and names, looking from the broadcast cam, you wouldn't recognize them.
Or maybe one can try to believe that the game looks great, especially after all the hype. But when I see this vid and then a vid of 2K9 (not 10), 2K's game still looks more real.
Maybe Live'10 will have great gameplay, but what I see so far doesn't make me want to play the game cause 2K still looks (and probably plays) much more close to the real thing.

That would be epic.

I like Breen mostly for the "BANG!" when someone hits a big shot. But yeah, Live's team is good, I think the storylines will help keep it fresh, but 09 was the only b-ball game I've left the commentary on for more than a few months...

how can you say that when you haven't seen videos on 2k except the draft combine. So you don't even know how the game looks in motion.

another person that makes themselves so obvious.
