Gotta love 2k's PR team though. Same thing every year...

Exactly...I think it was more of a showcase. And it was done nicely. Don't worry though. A couple weeks from now 2k will throw a sizzle vid at us and we'll all be drooling again!

Dissapointig dribbling animation ,carrying + ball socked up ,kobe signature shot is off ,as most of the players in 2k series (right elbow and arm way outside ,not under the ball) kobe also use mainly straight hands to protect the ball ,or he fake drives .Hope critisism will help develop best ball game.

If you can pretty much make 1 or 1.5 games but sell them as 3, you're business will do well but they better know that they'll also be losing fans for future games in the process.

I hope the demo/draft thing prove me wrong, but I'm not holding my breath.

Oh and on the whole signature jumpshot animation thing... 2K still haven't got it right. There is no point in having players shoot their set shots like they do in real life, if they are just going to go to the generic stiff shooting when they shoot a leaner or fadeaway etc.

Ahh man, just like old times. Different day, same old...

Just so you know, there are about 3 or 4 different leaners that you can edit. You might need to try looking at the information about the game.

Based on Pau's position at the end of the video I'll say the teaser is a mix from many plays. It's not a big deal anyways.

The vid is nice, but I don't like one thing. When Kobe explodes with the first step there's a moment when he's facing the crowd. I think the animation should be different when trying to beat the defender. I don't know how to explain it in english, but I think that last year, the "first step" animation was longer, and the offensive player attacked the rim with better position of his body. Maybe 2k is trying to do the game less animated and more controlled.

I hope you understand what I wanted to say, but I think that I'd explain myself poorly, so...

Between your posts in the Live board and this board, it seems to me you need to take a step back and relax your expectations.

You seem completely miserable and no basketball game will temper your expectations.

Might want to check back again next year.

Why is it you complain the most in these forums?

My whole thing is they haven't addressed one issue from last year they fixed. They just keep mentioning new stuff. What about sliding????

Not to mention Kanye's amazing is one of the most annoying songs in pop culture right now simply because he has to sing low notes and use auto-tune and the melody itself is terrible.

There can't be basketball game fans that enjoyed this simply on these points.

Do I seriously have to remind people $60 is not chump change? Do I have to remind you sports game should never be $60 year after year?

Why release this teaser at all? Teasers should be the BEST marketing tools you have because like "Cloverfield" the movie teasers gave the movie crap loads of money cause they were WELL done.
They were good trailers but the movie itself was over rated and imo not very good. Therefore, what is your point?

I've seen movies that had great trailers that I thought stunk and movies that had bad or misleading trailers that turned out to be pretty good. You should not be judging the overall quality of a game/movie by a trailer imo. Now it's understandable if that trailer does not get you hype for the game but in the grand scheme of things it could never give you a full understanding of what the final product will be like.

I liked it despite some things such as the court color. This teaser didn't pump me or anything like that but after reading the Q&A it doesn't matter to me that much the teaser

If you choose to ignore the information that has been given then you're going to be disappointed everytime. Chase talked about the footplanting in his preview.

# 177 TreyIM2 @ 08/25/09 09:06 PM
I think the trailer is a nice little teaser. I think it was mostly to show off the new footplanting tech that Chase mentioned in his hands on preview the other day. 2K ALWAYS puts together enticing trailers, imo, showing off the canned animations. It's just when playing the actual game that question marks arise for me.
I did notice the bench players with warmups on so they are matching Live with that, this year but it doesn't seem like they got those transition animations together. I noticed Fish in one part of the vid and how he "popped" during his animation as well as a couple other folks.

Can't really go too hard on this teaser. I liked what I read in the hand-on prev but the more I think about it, the less intrigued I get about this game...maybe...

Wow, court reminds me of 2k7 with the lighting and such. not good.

DAMN! That's awesome!!

I'm not impressed, what exactly was supposed to excite us about that trailer, and that doesn't even look like Kobe.
