Nice that they added that Kobe move in the game, can't wait to see who else got new sig moves.
Wondering though how we control that - is it contextual, can we trigger it whenever we want? Is it one whole animation - what if the defender doesn't bite, will Kobe still pivot and continue on with the shot? Is there still a release point for that move?
Anyway, it was an ok trailer, just about what I'd expect from 2k at this point.

i think that move is done through the triple threat position, but u couldnt do it in 2k9 after u started dribbling, so i'm guessing its actually 2 clips cut together

Looks great.
Love the foot planting on the move, no sliding on the immediate stop for the pump fake, and Kobe's signature move.
Players are looking a bit too jacked with muscle definition this year (2k7-ish).
I also saw some complaints about 'not having a follow through' on his jumpshot. The people complaining about that must not play basketball, when you do a short lean in jumper (whether off the backboard or regular) if you use too much follow through you will over shoot the jumper, it has to be a quicker and soft flick due to the short distance from the rim.

LOL, I agree that was super weak.
It still seems like there's 'something missing.' Like 2k is meant to be watched not played.
haha, still laughing at dude who said the weakest trailer of all time. It's one of those things that you watch and you are unimpressed, but you don't really realize how lame it is until someone else points it out.
It does make you wonder why they would even release that.

You, like the others, point out this is a 'weak trailer' but provide unsubstantial evidence or backup as to why you believe so.

Hey, don't get all offended.
It's weak because what is it showing. What does it show other than a couple second clip of an up and under jump shot? All of that fanfare for what?
Nobody said that I was judging the entire game based on it. They were two different statements. ONE: 2k is lifeless (this is coming from someone who has played a lot of 2k. A BASKETBALL FAN... who could not stomach it any more after 2k8. It's hard to imagine that their lifeless engine has changed.) TWO: That trailer is super lame.
Stop standing up for a video game!
It might be a '50 second trailer', but if it was so inconsequential, why did they even release it? That is my point. You're the one who seems like you are grasping here. If and buts... it is what it is. I am speaking the truth: judged as a 50 second trailer it is "one of the weakest."

I'll have to say, I'm not very impressed either. Take away the music from the trailer and what do you guys think? Good marketing though, nice touch 2K.
Kobe got away with a MAJOR carry at 12 seconds, Eric Gordon doesn't look very good and the actual canned animation was a travel.

im not impressed with that at all...looks and looks like it feels like 2k9....

which is also a travel. LOL!
I don't care who does what, the definition of a travel stays the same. Never agreed with certain players getting calls and others not.

You're calling out the virtual refs for not calling a carry as Kobe walks the ball up the court with no one on him?

Not at all Chase, I'm calling out the dribbling animation and the ball being too high.

Watch the NBA, you will see carries on every single possession down the floor.
Gary Payton carried for a living.
Wade carries all the time.
It's a non-call.
There is nothing wrong with his dribble, he is not always going to be slouched over, watch any Kobe highlight vids as he brings the ball up.

I guess I'm just an old school type fan then. Gone are the days of actually following the rules and that's what is sad. I guess you guys think it's okay for superstar players to be able to get away with such moves, yet the no name guys have to actually adapt their games and not be treated the same way. Anyone who tells me this isn't the truth, needs to have their eyes checked.
I agree that there's carries and travels on EVERY possession these days, however, I think it's unfair that only certain players get these calls. It's not a "non-call", it's a call based on who has the ball.
Now it's off-topic, we'll have to agree to disagree on this. What is everyone else's thoughts on the teaser?

It looks more like a John Starks leaner than a Kobe! I'm not worried about the goodness of the game, I'm just concerned that it my be too similar to 2k9 which I bought but spent too much time messing with the sliders to play simulation b-ball. I want the game to be good out of the box, and not have to worried that the game is programmed to humiliate you at superstar level when playing with my Knicks! It was as if the games were pre-determined and I had no shot unless I lower the computer sliders. Even the scrubs would have no trouble making plays for others and the game didn't look and feel fluid.
