OS is the definition of secondary source... think in terms of references in a research paper... that's all I meant, not denigrating Chase or his input. Only an official 2K release such as a developer insight or a 2K-authorized trailer is a primary source in that sense... They've been doing those insights, but there hasn't been much meat to them so far... just saying that I'm excited to hear more and I hope they get on that soon.

And I know it's a teaser man... I don't need a reminder that they do this every year either, hence my saying that the info should start rolling out soon (since it always does this time of year). Not a big deal... everyone thinks I'm a Live fanboy now or something... I mean damn, I'm excited about both games. I guess I just prefer the way Live's rolling out info because I don't give a crap about pretty trailers that show nothing of substance and end up underwhelming me even in the "wow look at this pretty trailer" context... hopefully we get meat and potatoes in the next few weeks as we did last year. Nothing that's been shown or written about in previews has assuaged my worry about player movement aside from that short clip from the 2k-released combine trailer showing him going through the cones... these things are important to me.

Chill out with that "lying" stuff. Chase played the game for 5 hours and said the faces and skin looked different. You see one 30 sec vid and call people liars.

Great they got my boy Kobe shot against the Knicks in the game now thats some good ish.

His whole swagger was just put on, and it was amazing.

Loved how he was pointing around telling the teammates what to do, if anyone knows about the LeBron joke where he says Kobe you do all that hand moving and signals, I know what they mean, it means give me the ball and get out the way Lamar.

That teaser basically showed Kobe being Kobe which was nice to see.

For the ones complaining, you guys need to realize it is a teaser trailer, we will get gameplay trailers when we get them gosh.

You said once you were in game dev and design (unless you're a liar?).

If that's true, you would know there is no possible way you can watch grainy flash videos and have a solid idea on the final product. This goes for all media, of ANY game you follow.

It was an alright trailer, nothing amazing, nothing bad. Can't expect much with a teaser.

I know this video doesn't mean much but overall I am begining to think 2k didn't adjust much with the play call system. Chase said it was broke when he played and 2k seems to be going to direction of not have plays but having player tendencies dictate where players set up on the floor. That to me is disappointing. But we shall see.

LOL.

ITS ONE PLAY!

Cmon. All of this speculation from one play. Its a teaser trailer. I'm sure marketing wasnt thinking "Lets run a play with Kobe out of the Lakers triangle". They were thinking "Lets show a cool move by Kobe to sell the game" I agree that playcalling has been poor in the past but nothing here should give you an opinion on it one way or the other.

LOL @ TMagic

BTW, how many points did 2K score with this one?

Nice move they gave Kobe, asked for the vid... didn't quite do it for me. The moment I saw the court I was thrown off. It does not appear to be a matter of lighting that is making the wood look that dark as much as it appears to simply be the wrong color wood. I noticed this same issue with other courts in the pictures posted on Gamespot.com. If you look at Toronto's court, the wood is a completely different(more true looking) color.

^^^The Lakers court looks dark in that picture also, the wood on the Suns court looks ridiculously inaccurately dark and the wood on Chicago's court also looks darker than it is in reality.

Otherwise, Im very excited about this game.

I was gonna say, give 'em 2 points since that's what Kobe scored. Seems fair to me.

LOL @ Mike... you guys gotta start snapping in time and eyeballing if you see eachother at a game conference, etc. "Hey, get back on your side of the tracks, Jets!"

So...four more teasers to go and it's already October ...Yuuupiiii

# 98 Fiasco West @ 08/25/09 05:08 PM
I like the teaser, short and sweet.

Also if you think the complaining is bad now? Wait till the draft combine drops, i'm sure there will be people nitpicking about everything then.

Do teasers that matter or start teasers earlier and show trailers with substance.
Why do they need to start showing you anything? The game comes out in October.

Looking good, I liked it. I hope I have as much fun playing this as I had with NBA2k7. I hope they deliver on all the signature styles as they have been saying. Really nice.
