The commentary made me want to bash my face into my desk.

The player movements looked really stiff and unrealistic.

And the way that pocket was forming..... it still appeared that you could drop back 30 yards and throw the bomb. Now I'm not saying you could, it just appeared that way.

Other than that it looked pretty damn solid.

The commentary is really lacking here. Take a page from NHL 09, or maybe the one thing MLB 2k9 did. Hammond needs to either step it up, or step down.

The presentation was "ehh." I know people are going to say "OMG IT ISN'T DONE THEY DIDN'T WANT TO SHOW IT STOP BASHING IT," but if they didn't want people to criticize it, they should have shown it so early.

The game looks ok, and I like the pockets now forming. I thought the funble meter would be another gimmick, but it looks like something that could be a core feature for years to come. The Landry Coliseum looks really good, abit a tad too dark.

Overall, it's so- so, but I also recognize that this isn't finished just yet. The Madden team has a way to go, but it's looking like a green light to go forward.

Dude, relax. Try to behave like an adult and avoid the urge to type in all caps with 14 exclamation points following your sentence.

Video looked nice, i liked the intro a bit better than last years (showing Barber with some stats and Roy Williams). Hammond still sounds pretty robotic (and that Snickers stuff is already annoying), but overall, game looks very nice.

Can't wait to see the new presentation (in-game), the new Extra Point show, and get some details on offline franchise improvements (if there were any)

There is a reason I don't post much, and it is because that more than half the people do nothing but complain. I think that after Madden is released, Ian should treat himself to a vacation where he goes and visits the workplaces of some of the babies on here and then comments about how bad of a job you do at flipping burgers or putting the frenchfries in the oil.

OMGZ I ASKED FOR A RED RANGER POWER RANGER BK KIDS MEAL AND YOU GAVE ME BLUE!!! UGH -- WHY CANT YOU JUST GET IT RIGHT

I would hate to be a part of some of your miserable lives where you do nothing but look for the negative in everything. Good look in developing successful careers and intimate relationships with those ****ty attitudes.

Sorry for the rant.

Thank you to Ian and team for all of your hard work and commitment to the community and your jobs.

Go Giants!

I thought it looked amazing. Seriously, how can anyone complain about this? Especially with things as tiny as "the name plate is too small"

Seriously?

people are upset about wrist bands? Seriously this game looks amazing. Sure it doesn't look like a 'real' game but its a video game and Ian's crew has gone miles toward making look more like a real game. Eventually i think it will get closer and closer this is Ian and Co's 1st year lets give him some props instead of really dumb, nitpicking at things that would only make the game a .01% more realistic.

Did anybody even mention how amazing the cut scenes were? When romo was on the phone? That was awesome!

-1st thing I noticed is the improved presentatin . Good
-The QB Dropback = way improved. Easy on the eyes finally.
-The running animations look silly though. On that Maclin play he looked like he was running int cement. The arm swinging on runs need to go. RB's need to be running low when they're running through the first level.
-The pile up for the fumble = NICE!
-I wish there was a replay on that Cratin TD catch.

couldn't help but laugh at this reply! lol

anyways, I really can't understand why something like wrist band would bother, when you get the game, edit the player. It surely isn't a deal breaker.

Wow the games look awesome helmets where of for the coin toss mybe they are bringing back helmets coming of during gameplay....Marion Barbers dreads looked like ****....They had tony romo to the tee even his stance in shotgun not to mention him getting on the phone at the end of the drive it looks just like him

I thought the game looked great. All i want is for the gameplay to be "Sim". I don't care about all that small nit picky stuff.

I can see why Ian is gone.

Ditto. Give someone an inch and they take a mile. People bellow and moan about companies not interacting with the community. Ian and Co. come out and give us everything and more, in terms of news, feedback, etc. Suddenly, people start whining like children and demand more and more.

Okay, I hope Ian is still reading, though, because I have to say:

1) I LOVE the speed of the game. Watching the flow of the game just wow'd me. The running game, the pocket forming (seeing Romo step up in the pocket), I'm simply in love.

2) I'm really happy with the interface. The play-calling screen, the kick meter, etc.

3) The graphics look fantastic. Huge improvement over last year.

4) Presentation looked good. I'm diggin' it.

I'm very very pumped for this game. I'm not expecting the Holy Grail of football games. But from what I've seen, I'm expecting one of the finest football games I've played yet (and I've been playing Madden since '92).

Thanks this post will save me from going through 68 pages. Saw the vid liked the vid. Took it for what it was. Besides this is the first year in 3 or 4 where I'm more excited about Madden than I am for NCAA.

I could be wrong, but it seems to me that the running has looked much better in the newest videos. It may not be where some think it should be, but it definitely seems improved. Notice the runners knee not being at a 90 degree angle from the players body. The knee looks more bent and as a result the player looks more agile and ready to cut. Nice work Ian and co.

This game is looking great. I can't wait until we start seeing a ton of media over the next few days...

# 519 SAMKAVELI NFL FOOTBALL @ 05/29/09 10:39 AM
Wow that looked just like 09. Thinks for the video EA you just saved me $65 hopefully Madden 11 can actually change the gameplay until then I'll still play the superior APF 2k8.

# 520 Broncos86 @ 05/29/09 10:40 AM
The whole thing felt much less rigid. There was flow, and a more natural feel to it all.
