I don't think the problem is with hammonds voice........its just the tone. I would'nt mind the announcers if they had different pitches for big plays and game winners, but it is annoying to have no emotion and pitch levels in the game.

And the improvements don't include "adding hotdog venders". I could care less if I see a fatty downing a hot-dog before the game. The #1 thing lacking in the pre-game show was elevated crowd noise, and elevated commentator voice. The stadium should be brimming with excitement. That's one thing 2k did perfectly to simulate the significance of each game and one thing that is completely missing in M10.

Still though, it's probably too late to fix, so I guess I'm just glad they have a pre-game show. Hopefully the "Extra Point" is enough to get me over this slight disappointment.

Looking forward to E3.
I can't see how you can call the pre game show lackluster when IGN clearly skipped through it..

Anyways, Ian has already said that the crowd noise was broken in that build and that it was fixed (the vid was made 2 weeks ago).

Simply put, the problem is HAMMOND period! I was willing to give the guy one more year to prove me wrong, but from what I've heard in that video, he still sounds bored and emotionless.

I'm just happy to see a vid of gameplay, its a nice tease to hold us till E3!

I am excited about how the QBs look just like their real-life counterparts in their stance pre-snap and their throwing motion.

Worst commentators EVER.

No emotion, seriously. Is it too close to August to hire a couple of average Joes to do the commentary? 2k5 (yes I said it) had make-believe commentators, can't EA just do the same?

ugh - other than that, I'd say the gameplay looked great, but really the commentary just reminds me of 09 all over again.

I liked a lot of things about this video.
The running seemed more fluent than last year.
The blocking was better.
The qb able to throw the ball where only his receiver can catch it and not have the DB just and swat the ball in a weird way.
From what little presentation we saw I noticed major strides in the right direction and can't wait for the final build.

I also thought the graphics looked better. I also agree that the commentary needs more emotion.

I know this is video isn't the final version so all the slightly bad things I noticed will more likely be gone.

Ian if you read this keep it up man because you and your team are doing a great job and I think I speak for the majority of the board when I say we appreciate all your hard work and dedication.

If people want to call that kissing his butt than so be it. I call it giving the man respect for what he has done.

you people really make me sick. Why don't all you haters try to appreciate the good in the video INSTEAD of looking for anything at all to complain about!

I bet if Ian posted a low res video of a real life NFL game most of you would say ohhh **** it looks unrealistic. The graphics suck. They run robotic and all the crap you have to post in every single thread.

If you can' appreciate all the hard work Ian and his team put into this game, and can't see an improvement. Turn off you pc and go play nfl 2k5...see if anyone cares.

geezzzz, this video has more than enough to piss your pants of excitement...and they skip most of the presentation bits, so who knows how good the final product will be.

It doesn't matter that the pre-game show was cut in certain areas. We saw all the relevant parts. Logo introduction, Player introduction, Coin Flip. There may (and probably WERE) nuances that were skipped, but there was enough in the video to adequately gauge the power of the pre-game show. And the clear verdict was the pre-game show competely lacked the proper sound atmosphere. You can't skip that shiz - partially skipped pre-game show or not. It's either there or not.

Both are fixable as I said, which is why I'm waiting for E3.
Like I said before, it has been said that they will show people getting food and taking their seats before the game. That wasn't shown. They also didn't show players coming out. Because of that, and becuase parts of it were skipped, that shows you that there's a lot of stuff that wasn't shown.

Like I understand where you are coming from, but they did cut a lot of stuff from the video just so that it will be announced or seen for the first time in the upcoming weeks....

Is noone concerned that the horrid ball physics have not been changed? To me this is so important. There will be no timing routes in Madden 10. Are there timing routes on Sunday?

I can care less about presentation if the game doesn't play realistically. From the video it plays just like 09. Stop drinking the KooolAid and watch the video. There has not been any changes to the most important part of the game. Gamplay!!!!

The debug setting of pro-tak and the fact that the crowd noise was basically broken came straight out of Ian's mouth

So believe what you want...

You didn't notice the game being slower, improvements in blocking, or anything?

reeeally? if you can't see any difference in the overall speed, blocking, running game etc. then I'm not even going to try convince you.

It is amazing at how many people complain about the video. It is amazing. It looks way better than 09. Anybody that does not agree needs to see an eye dr.

I think the problem with a lot of people is that the game is called madden. If it was the same exact game but called 2k10 I think they would be a lot happier about it.

They can complain all they want. I could care less. I am buying this game for sure.

All I'm saying is to believe what you want basically.

I mean even with all of that noted, the game still looks a lot better than 09. Can't see how anyone could say it doesn't...

You are ridiculous. Your feel let down by the game because of socks?
We knew for a long time that they had very little chance of making this years game.
You are probably one of those people that been whining about colored cleats for the past several years. Keep whining, sock length will get in the game eventually just like that cleats did.
If that is going to keep you from buying madden 10 then you truely have issues.

Amen brother! I couldn't agree more! No wonder this is the first year, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's the last, that they work together with the community.

No matter what game, how good the game is, people will bash it simply because it's EA. If people can't see any improvement in this video, well then I've lost all my faith in people altogether.

I'm a big NFL2k5 fan, and even I can see that the gameplay, presentation etc. are leaps and bounds better than anything EA has put out before.

Somethings that I saw that was different and no one talked about. Even though I barely played the next gen

The weather channel thing in the beginning was interesting shows that they were telling the truth about madden using weather from the real state.

OL Run
Wow the offensive line plays more like real life on the run play the offensive line let the the weakside backer by and double teamed the NT.

OL pass It does seem like they block a whole lot better if they are not engaged they will look for a blitz

Side notes at 1:13 pause it and it will say cowboys stadium capacity 80,000 nun speical just an interesting tidbit.

Cowboy players were clapping on the sidelines also fans cheering and acting a little more responsive

Also WTF with the time before the game it's 5 mins then during the game it goes to 5:34
