I believe I read where Tiburon sent that video to IGN, so it's someone at Tiburon who isn't very good at the game. Not IGN.

Did anyone notice that the Eagles player had control of the ball but he didn't keep possession because the meter went to the cowboys? also the eagles were celebrating after the cowboys "recovered" the ball. other than that I'm loving everything I saw. I think the pregame was a little awkward just because there wasn't any music or crowd noise which I expect to be put in. Like someone said earlier, I kind of like the yard lines on the plays selection but not a big deal to me.

I did see some nice improvements, especially in presentation. Hope the pre-game was short because of the editing because it should be way longer. I wasn't impressed overall with gameplay, but Ian already said that it was "old" compared to more recent builds. 3 days to E3 everyone!!

Take another look. The Eagles were in Cowboys' territory when the fumble occurred. When the ref signals who got the ball, look at the yard line arrow...he's pointing towards the endzone the Cowboys are defending. The Eagles DID recover the ball. Stop the vid at the 1:29 mark to see what I'm talking about.

I have to say that so far I am not impressed. It looks almost exactly like 09. I know that a lot of what EA worked on this year was FIXING the gameplay (QB pockets, procedural gang tackling and blocking, fumble scrums, players "seeing the ball" and reacting more realistically, etc.) so who knows. Sounds like they really just wanted to polish up the gameplay.

Unfortunately the presentation appears to have a very limited upgrade.

The Good:
- More sideline stuff
- Refs and chaingangs
- Realistic depth of field cameras
- A lot more cutscenes between plays

The Bad:
- Commentary is still HORRIBLE! - They said they were re-recording Tom Hammond, but he sound just as stiff and robotic as he did last year. Almost unlistenable.
- Cameras are unchanged. Maybe this first gameplay clip was just to show the game using the basic Madden cam, but it looked the same as every Madden for the last 5 years. This view is not immersive.

They need to address the commentary. It sounds like a badly spliced, disjointed PS1 commentary to me. Collinsworth is still amazing with the color commentary, but the play by play by Hammond is the worst in the business IMO. Bring on the DLC commentary packs please. I dont know how long i can listen to "And he....gets the........ball at the....four....teen...yardline."

Still can't help but giggle at the people who say it looks like 09 and then go on to say it looks like 09 but with this this this and oh yea this.

Yep...And they get that many of the "this's" from a two minute clip. Imagine if they actually saw, or better yet, PLAYED a whole game.

Yep, after they announced that Hammond and Collinsworth recorded their commentary together this year as opposed to separately like last year, I thought Hammond would sound more natural and less robotic. Nope. He is as bad or even worse than the radio announcer guy.

Presentation is looking great aside from Hammond! Commentary is a huge part of presentation and Hammond is really ruining it. No more Hammond in 2011 please and no more blatant cheesy ads like the Chompion Snickers stuff. I hope we don't have to hear Hammond say "Chompion" before every game.

The WR running looks bad, they run too upright, and when Maclin caught the ball and ran, his running motion was weird. I thought he was a TE, because it looked like he was chugging when he ran. They don't run natural like WR's, and I didn't see any WR/DB jossling.

I believe thats because Pro Tak was not enabled in the build the video was captured from.

I definitely like the cutscenes. Player's warming up. TD celebration involving multiple players. Post-TD shot of the QB on the phone.

These are good things.

I want to see more!

These are the guys who should be in Madden:

Dude - AL Michaels was even MORE boring than Hammond. They are BOTH robots - but Hammond is atl east a new voice. Go play Madden 06/07/08 again and listen to Michaels call a touchdown... It's the most unenthusiastic call anyone can make for a TD.

I do NOT want Michaels doing PBP for this game anymore.

Look - even John Madden can't stand him - that's why he retired

Although the presentation is much improved and player models/faces look much better, I just am not very impressed with some of the gameplay improvements they made. I still do not see much of a pocket formed at all when the QB drops back. I can still see someone being able to run back with the QB 15-20 yards without any issues. This has been my biggest gripe with Madden. How difficult can it be to form a pocket for a QB? This makes the QB play unrealistic and brings an arcade like feel to the game. I hope this gets fixed before release because I will be so disappointed after getting so excited hearing they had finally corrected this issue.

I stand corrected and post edited. I only played a few quarters of 06-08 so I don't remember Michaels in the game. I just know I like him in real life. I guess it's just like Hammond, he's good in real life, but in a game, he's unnatural sounding. We need someone though, to replace Hammond.

I thought the video looked good. Presentation looked good. The only thing that stood out at me as a negative was I thought Maclin looked too slow when he caught the ball. I think people tend to overanalyze videos though. I can do that myself.
