What is wrong with the football?

P.S. Im talking pure gameplay.
Football is different than all of those other sports. There are some things that you can do in NBA Live that you can't do in Madden. There are limitations. You haven't played or heard all of the features yet to be revealed about Madden 10, but you already hate it.

better than 09 but STILL not there.

A flag route with one-on-one coverage is often a "money play" in the NFL.

Safety got beat to the corner and Romo threw a nice ball, doesn't seem very cheesy to me.

What's the deal with all of the black screens during the fumble and post TD celebration? Jesus......is that really the solution they've come up with?

I feel like all of that should be shot from camera view the player is using, and that the close-ups for celebrations, or the ref pointing to who has possession, should all transition seamlessly.

The problem is I think they got the gameplay down on the PS2 so I know this game can be way better than what I see. Right now the only way I would buy thisis if I got a PS2 version I can play on my PS3 so I got a fallback. If E3 comes and all the defensive adjustments that are in ps2 are left out again, im officially retiring from nexgen football games.

If you try to help them, it will improve their products.
He's referring to the crossing route Jeremy Maclin ran untouched then stretched out to a 15 yard gain.

Actually a wide open crossing route with poor pursuit is exactly like the Cowboys defense , +1 realism!

The truth hurts, but you pretty much summed up most of the people posting in this thread.

The human bosy is only capable of doing certain atheletic movements, and madden has no hint of this.

If its in the game its not in madden.

The issue is not so much the black screen (though that is a problem), it's the fact that there is no shot in-between the action and reaction. What they did well with 2K5 in this instance, was have the TD score by the user or CPU, then show a quick shot of teammates celebrating on the sideline, then show the TD celebration, so it always transitioned smoothly.

Nah but I have it set up to record on my DVR. Are they talking about Madden at all?

Its WAY too early to bash what you see. On the contrary it is also WAY to early to king this the best game ever.

With that in mind, I still am VERY impressed with what I saw. People up set with the flow need to sit back, and relax, knowing that certain things were cut out of the video they showed us.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED Mcnabb and Romo's different QB styles.

What if that video is from an old build? The athletic movements in Madden 10 look like they've improved, but I'm not going to complain about a 2 minute video of an unfinished game. I stated that Madden can't do the same thing that NBA Live does because of technology limitations and the differences of the sport. Note: That was an example.

But, I think you're getting too excited over this game. What I saw was basically Madden 09 with some MINOR changes. Still has the same crappy robotic animations and the play by play still stinks.

Still too early to tell of course but this will be the very first year since Madden 90 that I will rent first. After watching several vids from Madden 10 I am, so far, disappointed. But I was expecting to be anyways so nothing new there.
HMM....I thought I did a better job at concealing the smell of my plants. Are you law enforcement?
So you think I'm getting too excited.....so what. I love playing Madden every year and am not as critical as most that I read here everyday. It's a video game, not life or death. The game looks great IMO, and I'm too excited about it, IYO. In the end it's purely subjective. You like red and I like blue. Or you like hot and I like cold. Again, S-U-B-J-E-C-T-I-V-E. This simple little word is what makes Madden, and life (for sake of argument), interesting.........where's my scooby snacks??????
