Madden NFL 10 Video: Pro-TAK Animation System

Look at Maximum tackle and the suddenness in which the tackler arrives and the wealth of options in this system. The tackler comes to tackle not engage in a line dance. I know I don't know all the features to Pro Tak, when it comes to the actual tackle, but when you see this video, of ESPN NFL 2K5 tackle options you will understand why I critisize the grabbing for grabbing sake.

In 2k5 you could initiate the tackle with a wrap or a hit. I also like which wasn't mentioned in the video, you can choose whether or not you should wrap high or low by flicking the right stick up for high wrap tackle and flicking down for low wrap tackle and the next defender(s) attacks the ball carrier.

I'm not hating, I actually like the idea, I just want it to be aggressive and violent as it should be its a collision sport not contact and racing up to a ball carrier just to hold onto him just for looks, just doesn't look good.

AMAZING VIDEO!!!... I see they fixed my Bills away jerseys, and put in colored cleats. Looks like I'm going to have to preorder this tomorrow instead of renting, can't wait to hear some franchise news.

Let me get this straight first...I'm not a Madden or EA *****.

I'm as excited about Madden this year as any game ever.

But I do have one fear based on the videos I've seen:

I sure hope its not gonna take 3 to 5 guys to bring down every single ball carrier. Gang tackles don't happen all the time. Not even for Brandon Jacobs.

But for the record...it is a cool feature.

I think they're more just showing off what Pro-tak is capable of. We've all seen one and two man tackles, so I don't know if they'd go out of their way to try to market things people have seen before.

And I think I remember Ian saying they still need to tune it so that players aren't pro-tak magnets.

Exactly, it would very annoying , but I'm sure they know this and wont allow this to be overdone in the game.

I was thinking they were just showing off the tech, but if you think about it, how many times a game do you see multiple people on a tackle? Alot! Rbs going throught the middle usually get gang tackled. If the d-line get into the backfield it usually take more than one to take down the Rb. On sweeps you usually see the RB strung out until multiple guys get there to make the tackle.

I think you more times than not see multiple people in on a takcle but probably not more than 3 or 4. Don't think this will be an issue but I am loving the way this tech is looking.

I'm digging the new lighting, absolutely fantastic. This definitely reminds me of Sundays in October!

There are still a great deal of one on one tackles in the game. There are some new individual wrap tackles and other take downs. It will not be overdone.

Its so much info out there you can't keep up with all of it. Even a hardcore like myself. I hadn't seen that quote.

Again..I do like Pro-Tak. But I don't want EVERY runner breaking four tackles and still needing 5 guys and a few more seconds to FINALLY get down. It would get old and defense would be terrible.
