General:
  • AL and NL West (including Cubs) schedule addresses. Day games updated to correct time zone.
  • Addressed CPU Pitcher Energy from always full when pressing the quick menu while batting.

  • Inning pitched count corrected for pitchers during spring training. This is in ALL SEASON Modes.
  • Fixed AUTO BASERUNNING. Users should no longer be able to control steels for you or CPU using L1 and L2 in any game at any time.
  • Fixed the Movie Recording feature in both Replay and Replay Vault. Users should no longer get stuck after multiple recordings.
  • Players names not being called correctly in the audio. One specific item was Beltran being called Delgado and vice versa. This line used to be erroneously said for Juan Rivera. It has now been corrected to play for Casey Kotchman. This line used to be erroneously said for David Ortiz. This line used to be erroneously said for Miguel Cabrera. It has now been "disabled".
  • Career stats after going online and using weekly online Live Rosters or using the Online Roster Vault should now be correct.

2.Scouted players should now have feedback at the time of the amateur draft in June.
3.Fixed CPU roster control and lineup issue where users turn cpu roster control on, set a lineup, but lineup changes do not hold.
4.Fixed a bug where the user controlled team would not receive compensation picks when they lose Type A and B freeagents.
5.Fixed bug not allowing farm directors to be hired or fired. Just load into a franchise and fire a farm director during the off-season.
6.Addressed a problem where the title loses simulating functionality in franchise mode when addressing online requests.

Online:
1.Addressed Free Agents in the Online league Live draft. They should now be placed on teams through Roster Update are usable on user’s teams. (Guys like Manny Ramirez or Adam Dunn should now be available.)
2.Fixed Message Board bug that result in no messages being shown after changing full pages.
3.Reduced online game bandwidth usage.
4.Made minor change to the League create screen to Randomize the Draft time to various 30 minute increments from 12noon from 8pm.
An attempt to fix in-game disconnect issues in the production community. This is in an effort to stop the dreaded traffic delay problem the the community is reporting.

Its just amazing how some people are. Rondo seriously bro you know exactly what Jim meant. What kills me is how much people have complained but yet instead of going to play other games, they keep coming back and complaining more. What is so seriously wrong, tell me one perfect sports game please, i am waiting and please dont go mvp 2005. Good game and it got me back to playing baseball, but it had its flaws as well. All Jim was saying is you can make your point and not give attitude or be disrespectful and do it in the correct thread. I mean is it that hard ?

Thanks I hope you're right. The Cubs seem to play way too many night games.

Well I for one love this game, are there flaws? Sure but its one hell of a baseball game in my eyes.

Is the CPU lineup issue fixed? I haven't have 5 min to read here or post. Any help appreciated that was my main concern.

Haven't started my season, waiting for Josh Bard! And the Manny suspension!

Unfortunately the roster "fixes" don't fix everything. I was about to bring up in one of the roster forums the subject of Alex Rios. Is there any way to edit the Blue Jays order to keep Rios from hitting second -- and sometimes leadoff -- without compromising his abilities?

The roster guys did a tremendous job, but unfortunately when guys get a day off, some of those headaches come back. Right now, I've noticed Rios is still hitting second a lot without any players getting a day off.

If you use CPU roster control ON, just use my workaround I posted. If not, well, ratings adjustments are all you can do this year . We just have to accept the "alternate reality" of the franchise with CPU roster control OFF this year, but at least the edits do help those that have it off.

Will this still work if I plan on using Knight's non-patch V5 rosters, or do I need to have the patch for work-around? Thanks...
If I remember correctly (don't want to mis-remember like Roger Clemens, lol), I tried the workaround while experimenting at some point pre-patch and it didn't work before the patch.
If you play with CPU roster control on, some minor lineup edits for guys like Helton, and use my roster control ON lineup workaround (and with a second controller), it all works out pretty good. I haven't had a problem yet with sim games or games I actually play with all 3 of my franchises. One franchise is stock rosters, one is Knights lineup fix, and one is Ridins with no career stat glitch. All three are working out fine, lineup and rotation wise. But, it definitely has been more work this year. It's not ideal, but at least I can deal with it. The gameplay itself this year is absolutely brilliant overall. Had a 15 inning marathon tonight which is keeping me up late, lol.

FYI: Here's another thing I have noticed. Even with CPU Roster control ON, if you try to put a team on a 4 man rotation (like happens at time especially in the beginning of the year), the CPU "fixes" it back to a 5 man rotation after you exit anyway (it looks correct, but when you sim or play it isn't anymore). So in order to do a 4 man, you have to move your SP1 to the SP5 position and subsequently everyone else which sucks too, but oh well.

I always keep CPU Roster Control ON. That's the thing. But by workaround, do you mean using two controllers to set the lineups for both teams before a game?

Why are you so shocked? Just go into any forum here on OS that has a popular game and you will see more of the same type of behavior.
I know that we need new members to keep OS going, but sometimes less is more. The Show Forum used to be one of if not the best forums on OS and now IMO it is the worst.
What ever the issues are with the game, SCEA will and always come through.
Guys who take personal shots at anyone(Dev or Not) should be banned period, and not after the 3rd warning.

I just don't know why we don't have 1 Rant and 1 Rave thread in each forum. The Ranters can have their own place to vent but if they go outside that thread, BAN.

Same for the Ravers. Make a thread for appreciation of the game.

The developers and readers can read each thread individually.

On a patch related note, We all know about the replays being broken for the time being. If you turn Batter walkups off does it automatically go straight to the HR flashback? That way for the time being you wouldn't have to worry about hitting X during a flashback and missing the post game replays.

I don't know about that. It's just good business, not necessarily doing anyone a big favor. More should do it. To not expect it shows how low our expectations are as consumers.

No, not just that, check out my thread under the rosters section.

Here you go, it should be stickied since it has helped a lot of people enjoy the game this year, if they are willing to do the work after spring training (it sucks to redo all the lineups/rotations after ST). I've done the lineup/rotation work post spring training on Cubs and Red Sox franchises (set for OD) (including up to date SCEA players ratings added) if anyone wants them, just PM me.

No, have you been to the NBA 2K or Madden forums right when the games release? Now those are crazy, brotha.

That's a good thought. Maybe I will try it out tonight. Here's another thing I noticed last night. I did skip some of the early replays by hitting X, but did not skip the very last one they showed and I still got replays at the end of the game. Go figure, lol.

Gollum (Lord of the Rings) thread:
"I hates you SCEA for the buggy game you put out. Game killers all of them!"

Smeagol thread:
"Oh no, I loves you SCEA, you makes a great game, I can work around the problems if there really are any, and I don't ever want to hurt your feelings or my precious may leave me."

Gollum: We wants it, we needs it. Must have the precious PATCH. They stole it from us. Sneaky little SCEA hobbitses. Wicked, tricksy, false!

Smeagol: "Leave now and never come back SCEA Bashers. Leave now and never come back. LEAVE NOW AND NEVER COME BACK! Yeaaaah...Smeagol's free!"
