General:
  • AL and NL West (including Cubs) schedule addresses. Day games updated to correct time zone.
  • Addressed CPU Pitcher Energy from always full when pressing the quick menu while batting.
  • Fixed the issue when in the bullpen moving from last pitcher (closer) to top pitcher, the top pitcher's stats stay the same as the closer.
  • Inning pitched count corrected for pitchers during spring training. This is in ALL SEASON Modes.
  • Fixed AUTO BASERUNNING. Users should no longer be able to control steels for you or CPU using L1 and L2 in any game at any time.
  • Fixed the Movie Recording feature in both Replay and Replay Vault. Users should no longer get stuck after multiple recordings.
  • Players names not being called correctly in the audio. One specific item was Beltran being called Delgado and vice versa. This line used to be erroneously said for Juan Rivera. It has now been corrected to play for Casey Kotchman. This line used to be erroneously said for David Ortiz. This line used to be erroneously said for Miguel Cabrera. It has now been "disabled".
  • Career stats after going online and using weekly online Live Rosters or using the Online Roster Vault should now be correct.
  • Fixed issues with unbalanced trades when the rosters were full. 3 for 1 trades that will result in people being placed on waivers should now function.

  • Fix switch hitter sub presentations using the wrong helmet sometimes.
  • Fix RTTS CP never getting a goal before the 1st pitch

3.Fixed CPU roster control and lineup issue where users turn cpu roster control on, set a lineup, but lineup changes do not hold.
4.Fixed a bug where the user controlled team would not receive compensation picks when they lose Type A and B freeagents.
5.Fixed bug not allowing farm directors to be hired or fired. Just load into a franchise and fire a farm director during the off-season.
6.Addressed a problem where the title loses simulating functionality in franchise mode when addressing online requests.

Online:
1.Addressed Free Agents in the Online league Live draft. They should now be placed on teams through Roster Update are usable on user’s teams. (Guys like Manny Ramirez or Adam Dunn should now be available.)

I guess since this thread is for impressions as well, I will go ahead and give mine here instead of cluttering up the forums with another thread since I just got the game.

WOW. This is without a doubt the best sports game I've ever played. Are there issues? Sure. But this game completely kicks MVP to the curb. I had a 10 pitch at bat on offense (led to a walk) and gave up one pitching (led to a homer). Beat the Cubs 8-6. It was a bit of a homer-happy game, but I was on Veteran with no slider adjustments. So many little things done right, it really immerses you in the experience like never before. I'm pumped to get my franchise started.

Hopefully this injects a healthy dose of positivity in what has been (deservedly so) a pretty gloomy thread.

For what it's worth, I'm playing a Cards franchise that I started on or very near to release date with a very early SCEA roster release. (Yes it has the 'stats glitch').

I'm 83 games into my season as of tonight and I haven't had any problems (touch wood). I would guess that I have played about 6 or 8 games since the patch dropped, and simmed about 8 or 10.

If it ends up crapping out on me, then so be it...I'll just start over. I love the game so it's not really a big deal to me.

I've read through pages of this thread and seem to get a mixed answer on this.

To use this patch (Cubs fan so I want to), do I just need to delete my franchise files or do I need to delete sliders, profile and settings files?

everything and start over would be your best bet. make sure to delete your game data as well and do a fresh install.

I never hit X and do not get replays all the time. It works a couple times and then since not at all. So after the patch it worked in the next couple games and then not since.

OK, I installed the patch.

Is it me or has this affected gameplay? It feels different playing after the patch (animations look quicker and the ball seems to be quicker off the bat). Also, pitches seem to be easier to pick up.

Anyone else getting something like this?

Russell said that the mini patch was coming last week or so. I wonder what the hold up is?

I hope they pleasantly surprise us, and include a fix for the DH fatigue. I'm tired of having to bench my DH after 3 or 4 games because he is COMPLETELY exhausted. Putting one of my tired guys as DH for a game is supposed to be a day off for him, not making him work harder. The DH's use more energy than any other position player on the field, with the exception of maybe catcher.

Same here.

And here I was posting like crazy that the patch was fine because I had post-game highlights, replays, and all that jazz. They lasted a few games, and now are completely gone. Very, very weird.

Ok so apart from all the obvious big problems this patch has caused.
I noticed they haven't even fixed all the supposedly addressed fixes in the allready short list.

For example:

Addressed CPU Pitcher Energy from always full when pressing the quick menu while batting.

It's still always full!!!

has any announcement been made regarding another fiix for the new/old bugs

I will have to take a look, but so far I have noticed it working as it should.

I haven't had any crashes yet. Ive owned the games since the 4th of March, and just really started playing it last weekend.

I quickly went through the '09 season in my franchise, only to see that SCEA apparently could not assign proper contracts to coaches?

What a let down. I mean, its a baseball sim, correct? Its not asking much.

Joe Girardi to Boston? Ozzie Guillen wouldn't re-sign, so he went to head the Baltimore farm system? Ozzie was extended through 2012, nearly 2 years before this game was released...

Thats just lazy. Fantastic 'base' game, but SCEA has got to strap it down when it comes to such things...

The MLBPA won't let them have correct player contacts, so I bet there is a association for coaches similiar to the MLBPA that doesn't allow correct contracts for the coaches either.

It took a ton of effort and convincing to allow them to use dollars instead of points.

just wanted to post my experience with the may 8th problem.

i was having the issue of the game crashing while going to may 8th. so i followed the advice i found in this thread to uninstall the patch. well it didnt help. i had to redo all of my music for nothing.

what did work was me going to another teams schedule, i used the jays, and going to may 9th and siming to date. then back to my schedule and continue my season.
