It has now been corrected to play for Casey Kotchman. This line used to be erroneously said for David Ortiz. This line used to be erroneously said for Miguel Cabrera. It has now been "disabled".

It (DH fatigue issue) doesn't bother me much, but you're missing one important point they make however, the DH's tire much more than the guys that play the field. How do you sweep that one under the rug?

The only idea I have to "fix" this one is to change all DHs stamina to 100 or close to it. How does that work out?
yeh, i thought about that work around too...
but the issue would still remain to me since i would like to use the DH position to rest(or tire less) players like the real A's do...
they DH giambi once in a while to rest his legs, move Cust to the Rf and put nomar at 1B..

To be sure, I compared my post-patch franchise with my pre-patch franchise, and in both, the Cubs have 11 afternoon games (1:05) next month, 10 in July, etc.
Yes, same here, only in season mode (like I said upthread). The schedule fix was evidently a global thing, and not just a fix to any new franchises out there.

OK. I wish I could help you there, but I don't play RTTS (don't even know most of the issues there), and have had no franchise crashes or replay issues. The only thing that has happened to me (but, it may be an isolated incident) is that when I was editing the rosters (outside of franchise) from 4/27 last night, the PS3 rebooted on me. This happened 2 times. After I completely shut off my PS3, it never happened again.

(FYI: I deleted the game, all old saves, and patch entirely yesterday and reloaded all of it.)

So does this mean that something might be done about the problems everyone's experiencing with another patch, or that it will be fixed for next year's game? Just wondering, like everyone else on here. Thanks for actually taking time to read these and responding.

I couldn't read through all of this thread, so people that had the RTTS problem with the September date, are going to have to start over. Is it fixed for people who yet one?

Brunnoce, that's a great point that didn't even occur to me.

Thats what i do/did in my Rays franchise. its a nice way (in theory) to save guys legs and get someone else in the game. I use it every 10th game or so to get Longoria some rest and get Aybar in the game. I also will use it to get Zobrist in the game and put Burrell at RF sometimes.

But it doesnt work if the DH tires more than a position player.

I'm guessing it's because DHs have low stamina and this is probably related to the amount of games they play. If you actually look at the amount of games most DHs play, it's often lower than position players. I can't find any DH that played in 162 games. This might have to do with DHs getting injured or not being very good, but you don't see DHs that play 162 games. Edgar Martinez, the greatest DH of all time, played 155 games in his most games played season.

lol...probably the most to the point and important question posted.

Seriously, I'm not in the dumps like some are, but I do find the roller coaster of these issues to be pretty frustrating myself. I was just getting ready to add my own edits to one of Knight's fine rosters and go to town. Now, I'm on pause again, until we get some concrete info...lol. It's probably the longest I've waited to get deep into this game!

On a side note, I don't recall more than two patches released either, but I also don't recall things seeming this scrambled at this point.

Hopefully Russell can answer that question for us. It's generally easier to let something go when you know it's a done deal (as unfortunate as that news may end up being for many here).

I don't use an AL team this year, but it seemed like last year the DH didn't tire as quick as everyday players. Is that not true this year??

This is a very good question. I really want to know as well..

I've only run through test runs, but I do believe on a few of them I noticed Ortiz had a lower game count than some of the other regulars (and this was with injuries OFF for quicker simming, mind you). I'm not sure, because it's only been test runs, but enough people have seemed to notice at least some difference.

Has anyone tried upping the stamina of the DH guys? I recall them saying they reworked stamina a bit at one point, and guys who DH tend to be (if not just plain old BAD fielders...lol) on the back 9 of their career or have some health concerns. Maybe their bar is just too low and the game is more sensitive to that this year? Just an idea.

Mine was actually a franchise mode and not a season mode.

i dont think the dh fatigue issue comes down to statistics man...
really, there are several factors that make DH's not play 162, and none of them are related to the fact that u will get tired less playing as a DH than as a position player, for the simple fact that instead of beeing on the field when your team is pitching ull be resting on the bench

Well I just had the replay glitch happen again. I pressed the L3 to start recording and it just went to ok the video is ready...... I had a great replay of the Runner running over the catcher too I cant even get a Picture now either Guess I got lucky for two games that it worked.

Paul Molitor played in 160 games with the Jays at DH in 1993 and 161 two years later with the Twins.

Ortiz has had 155+ game seasons.

Frank Thomas played in 155 with the Jays in 2007 at DH

Maybe not 162 games, but guys do get hurt too - often guys miss 5 or 10 games because of nagging injuries. This doesn't mean that the DH sits out every 5 games because they are tired.

Playing 155 games equates to sitting out every 23 games and the DH's on this game are tired after 5. There's obviously a bit of a fatigue problem.
