Baserunning is lacking, and is there any way to manual switch outfielders when fielding? There have been a couple occassions where the game gives me control of the SS on a slow bouncer up the middle, where the 2nd baseman would have a better shot at it. Also the same with a couple balls hit in the gaps in the outfield.

New fielding routes and animations...
...resulting in more doubles! WITHOUT having to edit everyone!

Yeah nothing major at all.
But that's expected from us right? The Show Patrol? The arch-nemesis of the 2k Police?
I thought this thread was a bit harsh but it's a vacation in Aruba compared to the 2k demo thread.
I'm done with the demo. I can't play anymore with these two teams. Release day is right around the corner anyway!

Question about the "Pitcher/Batter Framerate Drop"... Has anybody popped in 08 since playing the 09 Demo and noticed if it's true? Or if it's the same as 08 and we're all just crazy?

Ummm... Not online, just your everyday human vs. cpu mode. It's nice and smooth when the pitcher is selecting a pitch. But when he comes set, it's not as smooth.

When you mentioned "Pitcher/Batter Framerate Drop" this seems the same context when SCEA discusses how the new hardcoded 60 frames per second will eliminate the pitch meter and batter swinging frame drops or clipping. This is what made laggy games difficult last year. Forgive me for my assumption if indeed wrong.

I have yet to see a ball lined over a fielder's head in centerfield.
Also, for those that have questioned whether pitcher's can field grounders, I've seen it a few times.
I even took a screenshot of it on my PS3. Not sure how I can upload it to this site, though.

Anyone hit a ball over an OF's head yet?
That didn't go out of the park....

Not many balls get hit over fielder's head IRL unless it's in the gap, hits the wall, or to center field.

I'm noticing a lot of the OF charge and throw animations are moving in slow motion in the DEMO
The CPU hit a line drive to CF with a runner on 2nd and when I started charging the ball to throw home the entire animation went into slow motion and my throw ended up being way late
I hope this is only a DEMO issue
