earlier today I had a single hit against me into right field, got past howard as he dove for it. Howard was standing right where the infield meets the outfield grass after the dive. As I threw to 1st he got into the catch and tag position and glided from the outfield to about 2 feet away from 1st base, all while in that stance. I'm sure this is fixed but I have pics if anyone wants to see.

I really hate to do this....

You guys really need to get this thread back on track. Enough talk of little girls and Pedophiles. Everytime I come in here and issue a warning you guys do good for about 3 or 4 days, then someone else comes in and rattles some cages and gets everyone wound up again.

Keep it on topic. That goes for the regulars and the newcomers to this thread.

Although I think the word "ages" is generous, I'll agree that I hope everyone is over it.

I'm really really bad at hitting the long ball in this game. I think that's a good thing though. Since I switched to the offset cam via Pared's suggestion, it's really opened up the hitting for me.

It's an absolute MUST to learn how to go with the pitch with the L stick. If you can't do that (it took a hundred plus games to finally get it down), then at the very least hold the L stick to a position in the area you think the ball will be and wait to swing when it will be in that area.

The release point of the pitcher's hand is absolute key to hitting in this game. If you know where the release point is (its different for every pitcher and whether they are in stretch or windup) then you'll be able to recognize pitches better and follow path of ball. I know this may sound like a simple thing but it really has made the difference for me.

I know this sounds crazy but has anyone found a slider set that makes the batting more like '08 ???

I love the new pitcher and batter interface but I miss the foul ball battles that I had in '08 when batting

I am a swing only guy and I need to be able to foul off more pitches to raise pitch counts...at this rate I will be having pitchers throw 80 pitch complete games against me because I can't make any contact

I'm not sure which slider to adjust.....I don't want every swing to result in a solid hit I just want to be able to make more contact to at least foul off pitches and make my AB's longer

There are just too many sliders that effect batting and I'm not sure which one to adjust....... I don't want to make hitting easier I just want to foul off more pitchers

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Same here. I have this nasty habit where I always aim low with my left stick when I swing. I'm really good at the low balls, but anything high and I miss it by a mile. I'm hoping some BP will help me out.

4 innings?! what happened to a FULL GAME? pfffft.

Lighting effects -- awesome.

can't hit a thing! FAIL! I need to slide some dem sliders.

regardless of my own failsauce abilities, pitching and the swing of the bat seem SO much more fluid. I didn't think there was much to improve on, I was wrong -- they improved it!

Not much else to say....only 4 innings....not much time to make a lot of impressions from.

I was using the I guess "Zone" hitting with "X" mostly. If I saw a huge meatball coming right down the center I would PowerSwing at it.

I find for the most part that Offset gives me an earlier indication of ball/strike. I don't swing at everything, I've gotten way better at checks and not swining at garbage outside of the zone.

It's not that I can't hit, i just can't get the ball out of the park that often.

I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, just something I'll need to work on in Practice like Scott Said.

Woo hoo! Another convert to offset. I LOVE that camera angle. I'm glad it's working out for a few more guys here. The beauty of it all? If the game gets "too easy" for you, you can always switch back to the default camera angle and screw up your timing again.

P.S. Scott smells.

Well, SINCE this IS a demo...there's no strategy involved for me bro...ima swing'in for fences

however, when get into season or head online? i'll check out my wheelhouse,zone,etc...i'll be much more patient @ the plate.

I get what you're saying, but at the same time I'm not sure I can bring myself to play a 4 inning game that many times, especially when it's the same exact matchup of the same two teams over and over again.
