NCAA Football 10 News Post

Our pre-release info plan is being put together. We are going to be taking the same approach as Madden by announcing something each week, as opposed to announcing everything all at once like on NCAA Football 09.

Officially it starts today and it is... drumroll... Procedural Awareness.

Most of you have probably read about it on the Madden Forum, but here is a link: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...-nfl-10-a.html

Ok, so nothing new and exciting yet. But I wanted to at least let you guys know that the news will start rolling in this month all the way up to a few weeks before the game hits shelves. So hang tight and check weekly.

It's great to see that NCAA and Madden will once again have pretty much the same physics for the 2010 edition year. -Great stuff.

Do you think NCAA will allow us to save our offline depth-chart changes to be used online OMT? -Thanks.

It isn't something big and new, but it should make a lot of people happy.

No. He's coming back for another year so he isn't eligible.

But really... what is going to have to happen to keep him off the cover of NCAA Football 11? Medical redshirt maybe...

Only in online dynasty. The depth charts are part of your profile save, and they won't match in an online head to head game. If everything doesn't match, the online game desynchs and crashes NCAA.

Once you are in dynasty mode, the depth charts are added to the dynasty save which is shared. That's why it works in OD.

If formation subs still aren't in NCAA 10 after being in Madden LAST year, I'm going to blow a gasket.

I think I'm going to love this new info every week. Even if it isn't anything really new and huge, it's still great to hear it straight from the developers mouth.

Thanks OMT, I'll definitely be following. I just wish the updates came on like a Monday or something so I would have to suffer through the week!

Adam (OMT) do you have set dates on when info will be given out?? Or will it just be a random day in each of the following weeks?

They need to realize that at this point, we don't want "big & new", we want "borrowed & used".

I think new Madden info is coming out today (sunday) so I imagine NCAA will follow suit.

Percy Harvin on '10's cover would keep Tebow off of '11 (unless Florida wins an unprecedented third BCS Championship, then maybe). So, if you're hinting that Tebow is the consensus choice for '11 , then Harvin can't be on '10's cover.

Or maybe you're using reverse psychology to hint that Harvin IS the cover boy for '10.

Or maybe you want us to think that so that Tebow can be the cover boy for '11.

Or maybe that's just what you want us to think.

One thing 2010 needs to fix is maintaining speed on your player when you switch over to manual user control. All the time I will hit the button to switch to my defender nearest to the ballcarrier, and even though I'm holding down sprint the player who went from running normal speed with the CPU magically slows down once under user control; thus allowing the ballcarrier to break away.
