First thing I did this morning when the patch went online was test the field degradation. I played a 5 mins quarters match at Lincoln Financial Field under heavy rain and I can clearly see a difference. People just have to complain about something, I've come to that realization. The field degradation looked awesome! There were random patches of mud on the field (around the end zones, midfield, hash marks etc..) that can clearly be noticed by mid 3rd quarter.

Holy crap...I remember why I stopped playing this game. Is it something I'm doing? HONESTLY? QBs are connecting at WILL!

I either need tips or I need to be done with this game. I love NCAA and NHL this year, but my real love is NFL football and this game drives me insane. I can't take it. Plus, I have next to no control on the placement of my passes...

The thing is I had controlled the QBs with the chiefs franchise I have, but for some reason the last two games (I'm my Giants), Bulger and Campbell arer 11 for 12 after the first quarter!

Ugh...

Oh, but field degredation looks great.

this is why I am so happy that they allowed us to make pre-snap adjustments on defense.

In the first video, we changed coverage assignments from zone to man and altered a blitz scheme that honestly wouldn't be possible pre-patch. I was able to move guys around and when they sent the receiver in motion, I changed Huff from zone coverage to man coverage and he got the pick. I was able to make Redman throw the ball before he was ready.

In the second video, I overloaded the right hand side of their offensive line and brought the house. They were confused on whom to block, leaving Burgess free to punish Ryan. Ryan suffered a few bruised ribs. I also was able to change some defensive assignments and manually double team Jenkins.

with the proper slider adjustments, and the 2nd patch.. i gotta say that I am really liking this game now.

I really killed EA when this game first came out, and have the infractions to prove it

but now.. I think think this is a really great game, and I'm having a ton of fun playing it.

I think some of it may just be a placebo affect after the 2nd patch, but it really does feel like a different game now.

Credit to Phil and Ian again for listening to us this time around!
I think I may have played my last game of NFL 2k5.

Why does Ryan slide right into the sack? But ya... getting sacks is fun

I don't know, I didn't ask him.

Seriously, I have no idea why its like that in the vid. It wasn't that way during the actual play.

I just got hammered by the Redskins not to long ago. Jason Campbell was unreal and their backup was to. I couldn't stop the pass for nothing, it was like my defenders were dumbed down or something.

???? You CAN lead and put the ball where you need too when you pass. Use the left stick and when you throw move the stick in the direction you want.

As far as cpu connecting at will, go to slider forum and use "Heelfans" slider set. They work great.

I just finished my first game post patch, it was a pre-season game against the Pats....

Brady was 17-11 with 1 TD

Cassell was 11-1 !!!!! with 2 INTS. LOL

I can live with those numbers any day.

But some games the cpu WILL get a great completion %..it happens.

Pennington just went 21-19 or something like that against the Pats last weekend....

I thought I saw that we can go to a certain screen and verify we have version 1.2 .... but I'm not sure where that is? I appreciate any help because I don't want to start a franchise until I know I have the latest patch.

Thanks!
Check Brett Farve's stats.

This might be off the topic a little but I am watching Madden Nation on ESPN2 and it looks to me that there is field degradation on this episode Im watching. I wonder if they had the patch when they were playing? Also whats up with all the white dudes with the dirty straps and bling....wow...sad.

Has the CPU running game improved at all, as far as overall yards, and yards per attempt.

Is their any freezing at any point during the game. (Franchise, or Single game?)

Thanks
Yes sir they do. It annoys me though when the CPU has no chance in hell to make a comeback and they still call timeouts to stop the clock. I just noticed after beating the Packers with the Bears the robo QB is not there anymore. Much easier to pick and deflect passes. I think it takes too long for the CPU to snap the ball, that's just my opinion.

has anybody tried editing player ratings and then starting a franchise post patch?? Any problems with that if so??

I just played the 'Phins and Pennington at the half(5 minute quarters) was 1 for 13. Also the fact that penalties now force the offense into long situations opens up the deep passing game. And the fact that the cpu doesn't run out of bounds like a 10 pound waterhead, is a great addition.

So no the game hasn't been overhauled or anything along those lines, but the game doesn't play "exactly" the same. Its better. By how much, well thats for each individual to decide.

I played the first game post-patch and I had a great game! I was the Bengals going up against the Browns and Anderson threw 22-33 for over 240 yards, 1 TD and an INT. I think this patch alone fixed the Robo QB; thus, allowing me to align my defense to counter their offense. I won the game 24-16, using 10 minute quarters.

Oh, and Chad Johnson caught 4 passes for 111 yards and 2 TDs

One thing I did see about them extending the time it takes the AI to snap the ball is they might have forgot about one thing. 30 seconds to go and the AI runs a no a huddle after a 20 yard completion. Gets in the shotgun... lets about 7 seconds go of and finally calls a time out while audibling. 2nd play, 10 yard completion and the AI again goes into no huddle letting about 10 seconds go off before spiking the ball.

This might be a stupid question, but where exactly do you download the patch? I was only able to access the roster update from starting a quick match.
