All you have to do is create a new psn account but instead of saying your from the US say you are from the UK.

And you just use that account for the demo only right? You can still use your default account for other games right? Just double checkin...might be a dumb question...

You can delete the UK account after you have DL'd the demo, then just access it from your normal account/profile.

You know what? i had 2k8 last year and i swore not 2 buy it again! there was online 1 roster update 4 european people in the whole year, when you created a player u could only choose between charles barkleys or tayshaun princes (you all know what i'm talking about), i hated those NES generic shoes the 80% of the players wore.... Don't misunderstand me, i recognize that graphics and animations were great, but i didn't find the controls much intuitive, and moreover when you play +10 games it seem that you are playing always the same. And u know what?? all those things i told you 2k8 lacks, can be found in the demo of live... so good bye 2k!!!But that's only my opinion...

I've had some great highlight moments with the demo. can't wait to play the full version.

I had Bynum throw it down hard... the ball goes through the rim... and hits him on the head, ala Jordan, and bounces to the bench. Haha. It looked crazy good.

I LOVE shooting with KB24, and feeling the release point and just bombing mid range jumpers like crazy.

Swinging the ball around the perimeter to a wide open Fisher... having Garnett close out, and leaving Pau wide open down low...

One play... Rondo drove to the rack, collision caused him to fall to the floor pretty hard. He stayed down for a few seconds, in the meantime, I was off to the races with Fisher taking it coast to coast. Garnett rotated over at the basket, so Fisher tosses up an alley to Pau.

I love the feeling of this demo. I've had a blast with it.

X2

You see the fake double teams yet? I've been call for a couple shooting offensive fouls as well. They put alot of little things and also important things into this game. You could make a "The little things" thread for the demo alone. With all of this stuff I'm seeing just from the demo, I truly believe that "Champions" trailer is actual gameplay.

I've seen alot of animations in the game. Talking to my brother he pointed out how you rarely see the same animation under the basket twice which is something I can't say I saw alot of.

Another thing that leads me to believe that champion trailer is real.. when in the practice gym watch the tv screen.

Kobe is on the right baseline with someone guarding him. He drives left and does some kind of two handed behind the head scoop layup.

I decided to try it with Paul Pierce and pulled off the same move. Can't pull that off without court spacing, and hitting the layup button early before he takes his two steps into the move.

Have they released the player ratings yet?

# 731 funkysven @ 09/23/08 09:44 PM
can anyone else tell me if they are having trouble seeing some action when on the broadcast camera angle as the scores get in the way? its hard to see players when they are in the top corners. anyway to rectify this?

How do you explode out of a triple threat move? I've done it a few times by accident but I don't know the proper way to do it.

Point the right analog in the direction you want you want to explode in then use the Left analog to start the animation in that direction. I hope that helped.

playing the heck out of the demo

pros
- great playing calling system ( I love it )
- very good use of the double team from the AI
- like the easy pick & pop or screen & roll system
- some very cool animations

some cons

- full body clipping ( player warps through the defender) too many times
- the direct passing not great
- sometimes you don't always feel in control
- some of the faces just look way off to me esp. sasha for the lakers
- one last thing kinda strange i was making 30foot plus shoots to easy in the game playing on superstar.

having fun overall cant wait to see 2k9 demo to compare.

You don't need to point the right analog stick in the direction you want to explode, just point the left analog in that direction. For example, you can do a jab step (right stick flick right, or hold right if you want to hold the step), then while in the jab step simply point your left analog in either direction, and the player will explode out of the triple threat in that direction.

While standing still you can also hold the R2 button (or QSA button) and move the left analog stick in either direction, and your player will quickly drive in that direction. Works great after a shot fake.

Everything also applies when your dribble is alive.

I just had Kobe do the Jordan dunk and then his airplane flying around the court. Just nasty. I love coming off of a screen, catching the pass, and just letting your momentum carry you into a fading or leaning jumper. Looks so fluid.

Here's the thing, I love the demo when playing offense, but defense just seems more difficult than ever, anyone agree?

# 740 Pared @ 09/24/08 02:48 PM
Not at all. On the ball defense is an absolute blast. You pay for your mistakes if you go for the ball all the time.

IN the post... needs work.
