Has anyone had issues with freezing after the update. My xbox has frozen like 5 or 6 times in a day.

HaH ! But after the timely manner in which the PS3 recieved the first patch, are you really surprised? I'm hoping the second patch will be out mid-January sometime between the BCS Championship game and the Senior Bowl.
Although I am happy about some of the positive responses I've seen from people who have actually have patch #2 for that other console.

Hmm.. Well, after many more games on my XboX 360, this is a better game post patch. I play on AA and in my dynasty I actually had the computer run for almost 200 yards on me. My sliders are not even slanted crazy towards the CPU. I noticed that the CPU now hits the hole and doesn't juke so much.. I do feel people's pain about the sad option running on the game but I even saw a little improvement with that too.
Pass rush is still not perfect but since coverage is better, it is not so much of an issue. Second game I played post-patch and I saw a DE rush off the corner and smash the QB.. Never saw that before unless it was a screen. I never really had a problem getting sacks per say.. Just alot of them felt real cheap. They don't feel as cheap anymore..
KR coverage was not really that bad pre-patch. Gotta remember that the NCAA pushed the Kicker back to the 30 yard line instead of the 35 in a direct attempt to OPEN UP THE KICK RETURNS. I have been watching a whole lot of last year's games and like someone said earlier in this post, the average starting field position last year was 28.4. It wasn't that far off.. Much better now though. It was punt coverage that was way off and that has been fixed quite well.
Yeah, Robo-QB is still around but now you can get rid of him to a degree. I think INT's are up a bit since the patch. I am sure that is because your defense can actually play the pass now.. Sliders, which now work and I believe were half of the problem with the game, can fix the INT problem, but not enough. Zero INT on the sliders should mean 0 INT's, period.
Overall though, game plays much, much better. Games are not all shootouts and I actually shut the CPU out! That did not happen pre-patch at all for me. How could it with the CPU able to throw under all day long!! Hell, I was pleasantly surprised when Kansas threw up a long one at the end of the game and nailed the corner route for a game-winning touchdown. Final Kansas 21 - Kent State 20. That was the best defensive battle I played in NCAA by far.. That reminds me, I know they never said that some of the AI issues were not touched but the CPU QB does throw it deep more.. Now if it could run the friggin option!
For those that see no difference after the second patch, I don't know what your looking for.. I think the majority would say the game plays much better now.. Plus, I have my sliders!!

The thing is we are such a small percentage of the game's market. Most people don't even know a patch is coming, won't know what is does, and might not even notice. To think that the NFL or the NCAA would get bent out of shape because a patch is delayed is just crazy.
And did I really read at least two people thinking that the reason patch 2 is delayed is probably for the same mess up as patch 1? I imagine the FIRST thing EA did with this patch is make sure the patch 1 problem didn't exist.
My guess is that MS got the patch before Sony did.

The NFL and NCAA should care if the games they endorse are not of decent quality. Since I believe that most video game football players are actual football fans, it should count when football fans complain that a football game doesn't properly convey proper gameplay or atmosphere. Competition makes the world of capitalism go round!

BTW, countryboy.. Your signature is dead-on man.... Video Game football will never be perfect. It can be a lot better though IMO.

I doubt we'll see a weekend release for the PS3 patch. We're stuck until Monday at the earliest. The silence from EA on this is disappointing.

Why has the PS3 patch not been released? Is it because of a flaw in the patch like the first one, or is Sony just taking longer?
