i don't know if anyone else has noticed but like 95% of the CPU's punts now don't go to the return man. They are shanked out of bounds. I've played several games with this happening. Anyone else seeing this? other than that i've been having a much better experience. Its not as easy anymore and besides my dynasty the games are closer.

Got Damn it Sony. I drop $1500 dollars on 3 systems for my house and you cant even release a patch on time with Micosoft. I'm about to go up to GS trade them all in and get 3 360's.

I am undecided if I am selling Madden yet. Right now it is collecting dust because it doesn't have cpu sliders which makes it not worth playing right now. I am holding off to see if they add back the cpu sliders next month. I just can't get good stats with Madden IQ or with human sliders alone.

One thing that I will say when comparing Madden and NCAA is that I feel I have much more control over my players in NCAA and that I am actually the one controlling them on the field. In Madden it feels like you start the play and you never really control your players all that much, no matter what you do with the controller the players just carry out their pre planned animations and you are basically left to sit and watch.

I noticed that a lot in the two games I played last night.

This patch changed the game a lot. Before the patch it was a scoring shootout, last team with the ball wins (and I was playing the cpu in dynasty, that is the only way I play this game is offline). Now with the patch #2 both of my games were a low scoring games. Both the cpu and I got yards, but scoring was the hard part. A lot of times you would see a few first downs and the drives would stall. That is cool with me as that is a lot more realistic than scoring on every drive.

I like the game a lot more now since the patch.

Why trade all three? Just trade one or two so that you can get the 360? But do as you wish. I mean, its not like you enjoy the PS3 or anything (owning 3 of them) so you might as well trade them all in and get 360's because MS got the patch out first.

It makes sense to me.

wow....

I think all of us need to send Sony an e-mail though. I used to have a 360, and then switched over to PS3, but they need to quit pulling crap like this if they expect to stay neck & neck with the 360.

After the patch, the game does play a bit better and I feel I'll be able to get some realistic stats for my games but, I've said this before, the BIGGEST problem in this game is the absolute refusal of EA sports to look at the Adaptive AI model. The game is just not challenging from a play calling/personnel standpoint. I honestly feel that I could call a 2 Man Under every play and win the game.

I played a game of 08 a couple days back and the play calling is light years better than the farce that is 09.

You could even get away with a 2 Man Under with Press coverage because the CPU goes deep maybe, and that's a BIG maybe once per game. How long has this problem been in the game? It's just another detail that obviously gets overlooked every year in favor of things like better lighting at dusk and cheerleaders.

Here's hoping that someone over at EA gets it, because the play calling is just killing this game for me.

I have out of sheer laziness and won. Bad CPU playcalling cannot be patched. It needs to be reprogrammed and overhauled in order for teams to play a unique style. At least in '08 the CPU would kick a FG instead of going for it on 4th in situations where you would take the pts or play a field position game and punt.

I would love to see where College Football 2K3 would be right now if it and NFL 2K had been able to continue. I think we all know that EA would be much further along with its game because the 2K series always pushed things forward at a pace the EA is unconfortable with.

College Football 2K was canned by 2K by choice. At the time there was no exclusive license involved.

Why can't we get an update of any information on the PS3 patch? Isn't there any communication between Sony and EA? All businesses try to cooperate with a time table...I know Sony doesn't charge for online (thank god cuz I never will) but authorizing a patch can't be a hard process, especially when one patch already went through...

so do i have to restart my online dynasty to get the new sliders to work? or can i just change the sliders i already have and be able to keep my Hurricanes on track to win the ACC championship at the same time eliminating robo qb?
