Its amazing how many people are blaming Sony for mistakes that EA has made. EA is the one that shipped a broken game. I am sure NCAA isnt the only game that Sony is testing. And to tell you the truth I would not be surprised that EA made the same mistake with Patch 2 that they made with patch 1.

I don't think its a mistake with the patch. It seems like EA has created the game for 360 and made adjustments to allow it to be played on PS3. That would explain why the patch is announced and only comes out for 360 and we have to wait for PS3 due to complications. They didn't say a 360 patch and a PS3 patch, they said patch 1 and 2 because they assumes it would work for both. It seems like they didn't look into the systems indivually. It is bad enough these patches were needed. They released an incomplete product or the testers did not do their job.
The release should have been postponed a month instead of sending out patches that don't work on all systems. Do you think NFL has a clause in the contract allowing them to release the rights to other companies in this instance? I'll bet they do. Finally, EA should be making amends with PS3 players. EA dropped the ball and did not address the system. A voucher of some kind should be sent to PS3 users of this game for a reasonable percentage off of Madden.

Look, EA has put the patch in both MS and Sony's hands. MS has gotten the patch out. Sony hasn't. Now whether that has to do with an error on EA's part like the 1st patch is unknown at this time.

I was just ranting. I was continuing on a theory of the PS3 patch delay is due to an error on EA Sports' part. The NFL should have a clause in the exclussive rights contract that would allow them to sell those rights to multiple companies in the event EA Sports could not put out a product that was approved. I know it is NCAA, but I would think the NFL and NCAA would want to distance themselves from this situation. I am sure the NFL and NCAA make a pretty nice chunk of change for the games and they would not want to have anything tarnish the games image in the video game industry.
Speaking of that, I want to point out (I feel) blame should be put on the EA Sports division and perhaps not on the entire EA company. I would think EA would not want to hurt the company as a whole due to whatever this problem ends up being. Someone will eventually leak what the problem is.
I do feel something should be done above just waiting around for a patch that may not fix the problems, as many 360 users have said. Why are they saying this is the final patch when people are still complaining of gameplay features not being corrected?

What Im getting at is that everyone is blaming Sony for not getting the patch out, yet no one knows what is going on. Patch 1 and 2 were sent to Sony about the same time, so I wouldnt doubt Sony has found the same problems with patch 2 that they did with patch 1.

Why not just get 1 or 2 360s and keep 1 or 2 PS3s then you can play the best versions of each sports game, and the exclusive games to both systems?
Unless there is some major problem, I would imagine the PS3 patch should be out by next week. If not, I would be ticked off big time. It sucks for you guys because this patch makes the game a lot better imo. I really feel like the INT slider works well now with it at 0. It has been nice to have some defensive battles here and there as well.

Does the PS2 version still have the horrible pursuit angles problem.?

I am just saying if the execs at EA SPORTS where aware of glitches to features of the game they were heavily marketing and they released it anyways, than everyone associated with it will hurt, no matter how insignificant. That includes the name on the package. If it turns out this problem is not do to with poor quality control and they did not create the game off a 360 platfom, than all of these issues were unforseen and unavoidable and it will blow over.
Sorry for rambling on about garbage. I got way off the topic. I am waiting on my doctor to release me from the hospital after I had a low blood sugar attack and I hate hopitals I am just venting. It is off topic. You should make a separate PS3 patch topic so we can see what is going on.
This thread has nothing to do with IMPRESSIONS anymore. I'm a little disappointed. Does anybody have anything to actually say about the 360 patch and how it's playing?

After three games, the patch has improved the experience. I play on varsity, BTW. The main thing I notice is the sliders have a noticeable effect with just a few clicks one way or the other. That's great, because in past games, there didn't seem to be as great a difference from one end to the other. Because of this, it's going to take me some time to experiment and find the right set.
THe CPU defense seems to be amped up, as I've scored only 26 points in three games, though that be attributed to the lousy teams I've used thus far (WMU, CMU, Houston).
The biggest improvement so far is no CPU robo QB (after slider adjustments) and much, much better CPU run game.
Kick and punt returns are amped down. Though I've noticed I seem to consistently get between the 30 and 35 on KOR. Would like to see more variety, but it's better than breaking them for TDs every other game.
Pass rush is good. I made it better by lowering roughing the passer penalty to 5 (only tested one game but got five sacks vs. SD State).
Still not sure about lack of penalties, but I don't think maxing out the sliders is the answer (I had one game, 5 min QTRs, with no penalties either team despite all penalties maxed.)
My main beef is that CPU receivers still tend to go out of bounds with daylight ahead, something that was supposedly fixed. I've seen it at last 6-8 times in three games.
