Has anyone seen the stiff arm yet?

IT looks more as if he just throws him rather than pushes him away/off.

I just saw these for the first time today and gotta say they look very overdone but better than the old ones. You win some you lose some and some are just about a tie.

I actually saw something I hadn't seen before. Was running an Iso right, the qb makes contact with the fb and can't make the exchange with the tb, so he tucks it and tried to get whatever he could get. Cool animation.

The more I play it the more complete it feels compared to last year, I don't know.

i haven't used it much, but in '08 it was more like a "nuke arm" than a stiff arm. the defender would just fly backwards akwardly after barely touching the ball carrier stiff arm. looks better in '09 but still overdone some.

Love the demo. And I was skeptical after last year - I just hope the CPU doesn't still throw 5 picks a game.

Defensive pass interference is still a joke.....It's a floater and I'm standin under the icon waiting to intercept the ball....the receiver comes in and I jump up to grab the ball and i'm called for pass interference !!!!!!

You know this game will have some things that will peave us for sure, but I have to say I agree, this game has me quite optimistic.

i have been trying painstakingly to perfect the new juke system over the last week..and i must say it finally paid off...during mid spin i broke it off and juked to the outside and took it to the house for a 45 yd TD..i almost cried....but the pass interference is some crap..it cost me the game once with no time left and they called it in the endzone and OSU got the ball on the 1 w/ no time and pulled a QB sneak..wtf ever..but overal this looks to be one of the best ones since 04.....im really pumped..

From the demo, has anyone noticed how much iceskating that is going on? I am referring to the ps3. I would think at 60fps, you wouldn't see any at all. This is worse than ancient gen editions. Hopefully this is corrected in the retail version.

The big time blitz-happy people will not be happy to see slip screens in this game...lol.

This may have been mentioned before but it seems to me that the football is about 2 or 3 times it's normal size in the demo. It looks like one of those stuffed ones you get from theme parks. It almost looked like the ball looks on the old Tecmo Bowl when it gets bigger the higher it gets.

Run right at the mascot and when you get close enough the celebration automatically starts.

Yeah just run to the mascot and it'll start or u could run to a teammate and they may do a chest bump or have him picked up etc....

I noticed that yesterday while playing the demo, especially on replays, the football looks mad blimpy!

I have been saying this since NCAA 07 for next-gen. The football is too big and it's also too shiny. It's just not too scale IMO. I know it's not exactly gameplay, but if we're playing a football game, I want the football to be the correct size.

I have both a PS3 and an Xbox 360. I have really no preference on which system to buy games on. I just want the best version. I alternated between both versions and played them, and I can definitely say that the Xbox 360 version runs smoother, has slightly better graphics (mostly color and some shading differences). Which controller you prefer is a personal call. I advise anyone with a PS3 to get the new Dualshock 3 controller. I have a Silver Satin import from Japan and I love it for MLB 08. The old sixaxis sucks in my opinion. No rumble, and a lack of weight. I used to be a PS controller guy, but I have gotten used to the 360 controller and like it a lot. I feel the analog sticks are a little stiffer making it easier to choose "in-between" instead of all or nothing. I also like the fit for my hands and the weight. That being said the PS3 dualshock is excellent. I just wish the analog sticks were a little "stiffer".

It looks like it may be another season of buying the 360 version of the EA games. But, we'll see with Madden 09 and the upcoming games. Part of me was hoping to buy the PS3 versions due to this being my 3rd Xbox 360 due to the Red Ring of Death. I am still on my launch PS3. Of course, I haven't logged near as much game time on it yet.

I really like this years demo. I already enjoy it more than last years game. I haven't seen too many stupid AI passes by the CPU like last year. The biggest problem with both NCAA and Madden last year was that the CPU AI would make too many bad throws for INTs. Also, neither one would hardly EVER throw deep. Just like real football, if a team never throws deep the AI should be more able to shut the team down by playing for short to medium passes. If this is fixed, I think we will have a great game this year. My only other concern regarding the demo is that it is really hard to shut down the CPUs passing game, but I have been able to do it by really mixing up my play calling and doing some occasional bumps at the line with my DBs. But, I have been burned on a few bumps.
