If you're talking about the demo, that's already been confirmed that it's an older build...

I know its an older build, but what i was saying is everyone thinks the PS3 version is older or not as up to date as the 360 build due to a few extra glitches or issues. Id like to believe that, but what i was asking is are we assuming, or do we know for a fact the ps3 demo is off an older version than the 360

They could be the same build, its just that the the PS3 demo could have been behind in April. Remember the 360 was already at 60 FPS while the PS3 wasn't so it could have been a little behind development time in April. By now I'm sure it is cleaned up and caught up. Many guys at the Community Event have confirmed this that both builds in late May were identical.

I think that is a mighty big presumption myself. There has been nothing said to even begin thinking that.

All I know is that if I buy the retail PS3 version and it's not as good as the 360 version, I'll be returning it ASAP. In fact, I may just go with the 360 version anyway, though I'd rather not if everything is equal.

Honestly if you guys are unsure why not just rent it? I'm sure Blockbuster and those places will have like 8,000 copies for rent.

No way i'm taking the chance, i'm getting it for the 360. Afterall, i think the game is made for 360 and ported to ps3?
Not even close was last year. This year they are pretty similar other than some minor problems which can be fixed by launch.

I find rentals to be over priced. The places around me charger 7.99 for 360/PS3 rental for 5 days (the blockbuster back used to at least give you a full week).

If I stay with the PS3 version it will only be because I have more confidence that the PS3 hardware can withstand lots of non-stop gaming. I do have a 360 Elite and have had no problems with it (so far), so I am really on the fence on which version to go with. I had asked Adam if the PS3 retail version will look better, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet.
agree totally. the 360 version is great. i'm changing my earlier tune. the games pretty nice. i DO however hate the fact that progressive lighting isn't in. gameplay wise though tackling is REAL fun now as it LOOKS so much better plus in general the gameplay is much more evolving and different than last year.

Don't you get coupons though for free rentals or have a membership somewhere where you are allowed unlimited rents? I have blockbuster online and I get 2 free game or DVD rentals a month. I always try to use them on games since I have plenty of movies to watch the regular ways.

I'm happy with the PS3 version as long as they fix the center bumping the Qb to the right or left and clean up the game a little and fix the other bugs.

For me I'm picking the 360 version because again just like in Nascar 09 we see the trend of which version is evidently better.

Hopefully the retail version is as good or even better.

July 15th can't come soon enough.
Yep, you're not alone either. This thread has a ton of overwhelmingly positive impressions of the demo! The fun is back baby!!

Yup!I'll attest to it now myself as well. at first(and again i played the PS3 demo first THEN the 360 version which I am now playing and much more fond of)I was like 'eh" "meh" ,but after playing it it's been pretty cool. I'm hoping the retail copy is better....

The Interception button response is so much better than last years...I remember in 08 i'd press the Int button and the DB would jump or put his hands up after the ball had been caught by the receiver or had pass him by already.

I see lots of improvements in the demo as compared to the 08 game. The only complaint I have is the overall speed of the game, to me unrealistically fast, like the players are on crack or something. Something that will take getting used to I suppose.

it's because they redid all the lighting. it should come back next year they said (should be the operative word)

Others have complained it's too slow!

Makes me wonder if they actually got it right and that's why we're seeing complaints from both sides like that.

That said, a game-speed slider would be good, EA.

You'd think it would be a no-brainer as well.

I don't see how anyone can say this game is too fast after playing the demo. If you pop in a past-gen game, NCAA 09 moves like a turtle. The only thing that may move too fast is the ball speed on short to medium passes.

You are right though. A game speed slider would be awesome.
