I would also add that the crowd is light years better than 08. It's sorta hard to tell, because the commentary is tuned much too loud, but turn the volume up a bit and really pay attention, it's great. Best in the history of the series. With the added custom stadium sounds, and even the cheerleaders, atmosphere really does appear to have been addressed pretty well.
I have to agree with Undefeated on this. When I turn the volume up (specifically on surround sound) I really started to notice the crowd is much better and responsive this year. I also noticed that near the end of games or when it's a one-sided game that you can hear the chatter in the crowd. It's pretty funny sometimes.
I also like the cheerleader cutscenes. They're actually pretty well done. That's not to say that I don't wish there were coaching cutscenes too, but it's much better than last year. I would also like some more statistical overlays with comparison team stats or player stats. I like the little pop-up stats that show in the lower right corner. That was a nice little addition.
Just my 2 cents.
The more I play the demo, the more I like it. I had a great time playing it late last night.

Just saw a glitch where the RT lined up inside the RG. They looked like Siamese twins. Once the play started the RT warped to where he was supposed to be. Has anyone else seen this?
Anyway, just had a great game. OSU(me)21 LSU 0. Had a WR screen go for 71 yards. There was some great blocking on that play. I wish I could have IR that play just to watch the blocks. Overall the def. played awesome. D-line got pressure all game and the DBs were all over the WR. Almost had 2 blocked punts also.
Overall I'm loving the gameplay. I do like the weighty feel of the players.(maybe it's a little too much, but better than last year) And the feeling that you could break one on any play. Can't wait for the 15th.

I played the PS3 version quite a bit over the weekend and saw the QB slide bug. This has only happened to me once on the 360 and it was very, very subtle. It's quite obvious on the PS3 though. By QB slide bug I mean when he goes to line up behind center he slides off slightly to one side of the center, left or right. Very annoying.

Btw, as someone posted a couple days ago I reset my 360's internal clock to a date in Nov. It was just like the guy said-when I played the demo it was night instead of dusk.

I've noticed the QB slide as well as one instance where, I believe it was my RG, was off of the line a yard or so back. It could have been the RT, but I believe it was the RG.
As far as bobbled catches: I had a TE on a seam rt that the pass was slightly overthrown. He raised one arm up a tipped it up, grabbed it but while trying to gather himself he was tackled. A better pass would have resulted in a TD.
Good stuff!

anyone noticed the slip screen is a money play every time?
btw, is anyone having success running the ball against LSU?

I can run it against LSU...Just use Wells' strengths (Stiff arm, Truck)

He called for it on the first play of the game and Wells took it 71 yards for a TD. The other four times I ran it resulted in gains of at least 8 yards.
I played a game of 08 last night before playing the 09 demo, and it seems as if the 08 players have more weight to them and the animations are less jerky. The player models don't look as good, but the animations seemed better.
I can't find the original post asking this, but someone had said they couldn't find the pistol in LSU's playbook, but saw the CPU run it on them.
I took a look at the demo and retail and I think I figured out what was going on here.
First off, the playbook in the demo is totally different from the LSU playbook in the retail.
In the final game, there will be Pistol - Ace.
In the demo playbook, they have one formation called Shotgun - Spread Flex. In this formation, the QB is a step or two closer to the center than all the other shotgun formations. This is probably what they were using when you saw the CPU come out in the pistol formation.
Spread Flex isn't in the final LSU playbook, but they do have Shotgun - 4WR trio str in the final playbook that has the QB a little closer to center than all the other shotgun plays.
The playbook blog has all the formations from the final version for LSU. I just copied them out of there.
