I have been told that man defense is the antidote to the screen passes.

DE Contain is a great solution to the HB Slip Screen.

how are you again OMT, just wondering if you found anything out about the few glitches i found.

1. QB lining off center, behind the center before snap (not in 360 demo)

2. auto replay (no ball rotation and footsliding) (not in 360 demo).

3. ball disappears while switching ball hand while running. (not so much in the 360 version, but everytime in the ps3 version)

thank again for your hardwork. i really want to get the ps3 version, but if these things dont get fix, i would have to get both version cause the online dynasty league im in. i would like to play my offline dynasty on the better version (360). so it also means i have to get both version of madden also because of draft classes.

which is not that bad since you guys hook me up with $20 per game from EA store.(thank you)

OMT,

Thanks for posting man. A couple observations from the demo:

-On fourth down when I'm on defense there is nothing in the Offensive Personnel box that states if the K or P is on the field. How do I know if the offense is going for a first down or kicking?

-During gameplay the score bar on the bottom of the screen does not show what yardline the ball is on.

Will these be fixed in the retail version?

Thanks man.

Bingo! The DE's just wait for the release and snarf it out.

You said SNARF, that's an old football term.

You know it. Those 2K announcers always use it. It cracks me up sometimes.

One small thing that really bothered me last night - a shot looking back at the sidelines after a score showed the players doing one of about 4-5 different action sequences - kneeling, jumping w/fist raised, fist pump, etc. 15-20 yards later, the same action sequences repeated by the next set of players on the sideline.

Yuck.

I'll take last year's zombies over this kind of stiff "animation" any day. Please tell me this is not how the bench is going to look in the final version?

Sick, I pinned LSU at their own goalline and forced a punt, I called Punt Block and completely broke through and blocked it out of the endzone for a safety.

I Don't think EA cares much bout sideline animation...if they did they could make it so much better....I'm missing the Cool Zone more then anything...be nice to have benches where some players are sitting down as well and even see a coach on the sideline!!!!

I am sure this has been mentioned, but the LB's still seem to have jet packs and great hands on intercepting balls. Annoying!

# 1153 babyfat9 @ 06/23/08 06:36 PM
I've had numerous DB's drop interceptions that were right in their hands...but then they make the harder INT's.

I don't remember seeing this in the Demo but did anyone see the First down Chop...after getting a first down?

# 1155 Brandwin @ 06/23/08 06:48 PM
I haven't had a LB pick one off for me or pick me off yet.

Do you lob the passes over the middle? I usually try to gun them in but at a high angle. By no means am I any good at this game so that could be the problem. Any helpful tips would be appreciated.

Depending on if the WR is covered or not....if he is then a lob if he isn't...a bullet is best!!!!....Lob for a fly pattern but normally bullet for a crossing pattern in the middle of the field.

Yes. It's just odd to see the ball not rotating on a pass. Maybe just a demo issue...? And the ball isn't really ever kicked by the kicker in replays. It just takes off before the foot even gets close to it. Or, the ball leaving the QB's forearm and not his hand. It just looks bad.

These are obviously cosmetic, but still graphical/animation annoyances in the game.

Ok, this will go as both a statement and a question for Adam, or whomever may be able to answer.

I threw a pass into the endzone in which the WR jumped up made the catch and was hit on the way down and apparently when he hit the ground the ball came loose. It was scored a TD. Now I don't know exactly what happened because you can't replay in the demo. My question is this. Will something like this be challenged by the cpu. or anyone for that matter, in the retail version of the game or was this just some fluke with the animation systems?

Has anyone found out a way to get #8 Trindon Holliday into the game for LSU?
He is not the backup RB, but maybe I can get the first string RB (#5 Keiland Williams) tired and then sub in the backup to the backup, which maybe he is 3rd string, I haven't tried that yet.

I just wanted to see his speed in relation to everyone else, especially since he should be the fastest player in the game, actually one of the fastest college football players of all-time!
