You're not alone, I've played the game less and less each year... last year I did 1.5 seasons and stopped. The recruiting was a bit too much work (yes, it felt like work) and the BS turnovers were killing me. But the biggest factor was my love of FIFA, that game is my new obsession.
With that said, I played the demo and loved it. I likely won't be getting up early to play a game before I got to work on release day, but I will be getting it release day.
I haven't read all 106 pages, but is anoyone else kinda pissed about all the ads in the game? I don't mind Old Spice red zone and such but a Coke Zero ad when I make a defensive switch is crossing the line.

mgoblue, is this due to no presentation? no entrances, celebrations, etc?

In other news I just returned an interception from my endzone to theirs , but the only thing I did dislike is that the pursuing players run as if their jerseys are starch. Meaning they run upright and just look like they're jogging along rather than trying to avoid the further embarrassment of a 28-0 rout.

is there a way to do team celebrations when scoring a touchdown?

Not sure if this has been seen in any other NCAA games or any football game for that matter, but I just hit the QB for LSU as he was throwing the ball and the ball went straight into the air and my lineman intercepted and rumbled and tumbled for about 10 yards before being tracked down.
Just thought it was cool how it looked. Would've loved to have a replay system in place so that I could view it again to see exactly what happened. Pretty cool though.

some of the hits in this game look more brutal than they did last year.
Holliday got lit up one against a stationary JL in which he was blown back while JL stayed still and basically just pushed him onto his back..about 3 yards.
Something needs to be done about the passing though because I did scramble out with LSU and threw the ball directly to a downfield receiver, but it was picked off by corner.

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong with the Mascot celebration?
Whenever I score and get the prompt to go celebrate with the mascot, I attempt to run over to him but the play call menu for the extra point comes up before I get there.
I have yet to celebrate with the mascot once because of this. I start towards the mascot and then I never make it all the way over to him in time for some reason.

I'd think calling a timeout would do the trick. Might not be in the demo though.
Dook! You are a character. It's in the demo. Just call a timeout in the closing seconds if the opposing team is going to attempt a FG to tie or win the game. It adds a little drama to the end of the game.

I renewed my XBOX Live Gold today, so I downloaded the demo. While I only had the chance to play one game and I don't think I fully understand the new juking controls, I really liked what I was playing. Everything about the demo is better than the last EA football game I played (that being Madden 08, I hardly played NCAA 08 due to All Pro Football 2K8).
Despite my lack of knowledge of the new "wide open" juking controls, I did have an awesome kick return touchdown run with LSU WR #1, where I ran inside, everyone got sucked in, and then cut sharp outside to wide open space and broke away from the pack.
I mainly ran a spread offense with LSU, and it was enjoyable. I actually had time in the pocket (something I didn't have at all in Madden), and the game moves really nicely. It appears that there's lots of new animations at the line that make the whole thing look more realistic; speaking of looks, the graphics are nothing short of incredible (though I still don't like the general running animation; I still think PS2 Madden/NCAA had the player general running animations pretty much perfect).
There's lots of stuff in here I like; being able to call any play displayed on the playcall screen, the general feel of running after the catch (though I never really tried to establish a running game to try that out), disappearing on-field play art when the away QB is in a tight spot, and even kicking seems to be a little harder; I actually missed a kick, lol. The commentary and presentation as a whole seems rather fresh, and is also a marked improvement over EA's previous next-gen efforts.
I do look forward to playing the game on a more challenging difficulty level; it was a bit on the easy side, which is understandable for Varsity.

Did EA get blind people to test this game?
I've already came across another bug/glitch/WTF moment where either I or the computer will no huddle and either leave a big gap in the line or two of the lineman will be leaning on each other.

Time will tell if anything that we've seen wrong in this demo will be mended or not..
