Ice skating? That's a first as I've never read anyone use that to describe NCAA next-gen. Current gen, maybe.

Players have more weight and momentum in "next-gen" on the PS3 than they do compared to the current gen version of the game on XBox/PS2.

If Adam will give me a straight, honest answer, and assure me that some work was put into fixing this issue again, I'll forget I ever played the awful demo, and buy the game on July 15th. I need reassurance is all, that's how bad the demo came off as, to me, at least.

Don't you find it odd that you are the only one complaining about a turnover problem. As many people voice their opinion on the board you are the lone person complaining about too many turnovers. As to the CPU not scoring points if you consider yourself advanced as I'm sure you do then this shouldn't be a shock to you. The game is on Varsity so what do you expect the CPU to do. Just rent the game and see for yourself. Its just that easy.

I completely disagree. Players had more weight and momentum on the PS2 version and it was better than the PS3 '08 or '09 demo imo.

We could only do so much on the cut scenes. We went with cheerleaders over sideline cut scenes because we felt they contributed to the college feel more than players. We didn't ignore the sidelines... we made sure to improve them a lot including new tech that allows us to populate them more. Maybe the bench doesn't react perfectly, but you cannot say it isn't 10 times better than 08.
I really, really mean no disrespect, but are you serious?

I'm not seeing as many turnovers as last year. I really like how they toned it down alot. The only two INT's i have seen from the CPU was a tipped ball, and pass into double coverage.

Like the game. But can't we seriously scrap the mascot game. seems this space and time of the EA staff could be put to much better use. Like team entrances, better sideline reaction, or a coaching carousel. I played one mascot game this year after not playing a single one since probably 05. I won't play another one for another 5 years I'm sure so why is it still in there. Maybe I'm totally alone on this one but I doubt it.

Bobble catches and tipped interceptions are bloody amazing.
I'm not 100% sure but try running towards some teammates or pressing the triangle button.

Hi Adam,

I wanted to say how much I appreciate your attitude and caring about the product. I am VERY impressed with the demo. I think you guys have done a superb job. It's amazing to me that it plays so well given the fact that : this is not the final build, it is on varsity level, there are no slider adjustments. I am really looking forward to July 15!

I think the mascot game was apart of a different group that worked on NCAA 09 and it wouldn't have any effect on getting those other features in.

I disagree with players having more weight. The players are much twitchier (if that is a word) next gen and a lot of that stems from the lack of a true physics/momentum.

Anyone think the graphics have been dumbed down?

I like the new player models and all but I noticed there are never any really close shots of the players during the cutscenes like in 08. I think they may have got rid of the textures on the jerseys.

You know what I mean? When they cut to a real close shot in 08 you can see the textures and the jerseys actually look like cloth. I'm not sure this is in 09.

Now this isn't a big deal, just an observation. I did like the closer zoom in on the players in 08 though. Made it feel a little more like tv presentation.

I see I am not the only one who feels this way...

I am starting to hate the passing game.

I noticed that, and I seriously came to the conclusion that I'm too used to looking at 08. The insanely shiny uniforms just seem more "clear" compared to the 09 demo. Doesn't mean they're more realistic, but I was so used to looking at 08. So, given that 09 actually looks more realistic in terms of uniforms also means I think they're worse graphics because they're not shiny and overly done. Hope that makes sense. They look normal, not exaggerated.

Plus, the field looks 100x better than last year, so I will take these uniforms with that field, easily.

Adam, I really enjoyed the mascot game in the demo as well and I'll admit it in public!!

I'm trying to change your mind, but why do you think people consider controlling the players more along the lines of "steering" if it was better in the PS2 version?

You had to steer your players into open spots and the players with higher rated agility could not "cut on a dime."

I enjoyed the controls but I wouldn't necessarily call them better. With the addition of foot planting animations I honestly feel they are employing a more realistic degree of movement with the players on PS3. It's not 100% yet, but it's getting better every year.

Got to give credit to Favre4435. At some point I'm going to have to get around to playing APF2k8

Man the downfield blocking is great this year. to see WR's make the right block instead just blocking the 1st guy near regardless of if they can make a tackle or not. is a beautiful thing.
