This **** is killing me.

when you are at the screen to choose your team, I believe you hit the Y button which is for import team. then you select the save file of the team you wish to import and presto!!!!! I think at the bottom of the team select team it says "import".

thought it was just me lol i shouldnt have to use two blockers to stop one guy, if he is getting beat that is one thing, but when you manually take him and put him outside where a LB should be it seems to make the tackle dumb as hell unless you have a super quick tackle

Just run right at him, to soften up the entire defense. Motion an extra blocker and you're good. Throw in some jumbo sets for good measure.

i would agree if he was just getting beat, but this movement is just letting him blow right by a tackle and i was playing around with it and i built a 99 rated tackle and put him against a 85 speed defensive end with no block sheeding, and moved him to that outside shoulder and was able to get around 8 of 10 times i think that by moving outside like that gived u a big advantage i would never play anorther player who uses this if you use normal shifts you are fine but manually moving outside creates a big advantage for the defense because the only answer is to leave 2 potentail receivers in to block in obvious passing downs

Yes you can! I do from time to time, and I get first downs doing it. Just ask around. People have to play your pass downs differently if they know you'll run it from time to time even in long situations. I broke a 20 yard run on 3rd and long just the other day.

To the general question, it sounds like you're looking at a 9 technique. If I saw that and the guy out there was a good player, I'd make sure I had a slide on or extra help. You need an elite LT to leave him on an island with an elite rusher in that alignment. If you don't have that, I'd make sure to have a back or TE over there.

Other options are to run draws to that side--that should catch the DE in a very bad spot. You can also step up right away and duck under the rush. If it's too wide, you'll have more time than normal.

I've faced the 9 technique a few times, and in my experience it's not the sort of thing that makes defenders invisible. There are plays where OL just look confused, and that could have been the case, I don't know. A good OT will just push and ride that rush outside the pocket, but it's matchup-dependent.

It is the sort of thing you have to account for, though. And it's a very good idea to avoid situations where the defense can pin its ears back by running the ball more and keeping the defense honest with mixed playcalls in so-called obvious situations. Those things slow a rush down considerably. You can't always avoid those situations, but you can work at it.
