IDK. I've moved Porter and Taylor, and even Little out into a 9 from time to time and not had tremendous or predictable success.

Try an aggressive line audible, and work on pocket movement.

Also it's best to take a look at the tape and see what's really going on in the whole play call in those situations where you can't figure out how you got hit so quickly. It could very well be that there was a fake blitz or an alignment issue or something of that nature drawing your guy, I don't know.

If an opponent has a very fast rusher and takes a wide technique, it should be very hard for an OT to get out there unless he is very agile and a good pass blocker. That's why good LT are so hard to find. Freeney takes a 9, and Thomas used to do it too. Unless you're one of the better LT, you're getting beat by that.

I don't think you have to leave two extra blockers in; one will do.

Like I said above, though, part of it is strategic. If you see that a lot, run the ball, even on passing downs, and throw in a draw. Those are the situations they're made for.

The "spread DL audible" is fine as far as I am aware of.

If you have speed rushers, and spread the DL and then audible them to a fan rush, it can create all kinds of trouble.

The common thing you see online are clowns who manually move the DE 3-5 yards outside the OT.

Ive had to audible slot WR's in to offer just a little resistance

spread is fine, but when u are wide enough to not get touched by the d-end that is what is killing me, there was no additional blockers to confuse the rackle, just straight whupping his tail and hitting me at the end of my dropback. so since this is deemed ok by the league i would like to see what would happen if this happens all game with kampman coming off the edge, or maybemy 88 speed linebacker should move to def end on pasisng situations and use this technique wonspder if the tune would change

This could be a problem. I havent seen an issue with this in the league though. All of the DL users I have played in our league..arent strafing the DE out there like a mad man.

Being able to manually move the DL further then maybe a step outside the OT's shoulder is a definite exploit from my experience, seeing it online. The OT wont pick him up..ever. WOnt matter if you have Joe Thomas out there.

I use the LB at DE substitution packages in all of my nickle and dime formations.

If I did this with Vernon Gholston..who is fast and has 88 finesse, and power pass rush moves...yikes.

the DL audibles are cool...but I can see how manual movement lining the DE up wide of the OT can be a problem.

I have seen dudes online take their DE and they are almost lined up a good 5 yards wide.

The OT will just sit there looking inside.

IF you do not step up inside of the rush, or have someone on that side of the formation into block. You have little chance.

What I like to do is hot route a reciever to run a route into the 10 yard gap that has been created. That usually gets them out of it, right quick ..but then the turds start pulling their DTs off of the line.

I havent seen this be an issue with stand up linebackers though.

DCMC's Xbox freezes again, but since I'm already up 28-0 in the 3rd, I go ahead and finish it out with a steady diet of run against the CPU.

So the RB Brown goes back to being the starter and gets over the 200 yard mark for the second week in a row before I yanked him out of the game to prevent another injury.

And naturally, as soon as the third-stringer Kevin Smith comes in, he gets a broken jaw that puts him out three weeks!

Crazy game, man.

Michael Turner is lucky his injury is only a 1-week deal!

Guys were dropping like flies out there for some reason, and it wasn't even from big hits or anything.
GG

I don't know what was up with the game freezing like that.

My season is basically over, so imma just experiment with some new offensive & defensive playbooks now.

I've actually tried this in a practice game after we talked and it does work about 50% of the time. For some reason the tackle will not notice his blocking assignment until late and then when he tries to do something it is too late and your qb is sacked. It does not work every time but enough to be to very effective.

It can be defended but it is clearly an AI issue with the Left Tackle not noticing the DE is far out.

I was 0-4 last season and missed the playoffs on a tiebreaker. I also had the chance to go late in the season when i almost beat the Vikes. You're far from out of it, especially given that the NFC South plays the AFC North. I'm 5-0 right now, and I think my chances of getting a wild card spot are possible, but not probable based on the games i have left. Don't give up so easily.
