Re: Kendrick Perkins Traded to OKC

I am just weary of how Green will fit. I know he played with Westbrook and Durant, so he should be used to getting less shots... now he'll be competing with Ray/PP/KG for attempts. I'm not sure how that will effect his game. Green has always had pretty much free reign to shoot as he pleased in OKC as the third wheel even though the other two took most of the attempts.

We will see how he fares in probably less attempts in Boston. We will see if he can fit into what they need him to be...

I'll flat out say it, since people aren't willing to see it:

Boston will never win a title with the big three again. Perkins was a massive reason why they didn't win last year and without him for...well, ever and the eastern conference getting better and better, I think their window closed.

They'll make the playoffs, but they probably won't win the ECF again.

Green will be fine with the second unit. He's not Perks replacement.

Losing game 7 had little to nothing to do with Perkins.

We'll see how this will play out but perhaps Perkins is being overvalued right now.

I think OSU wasn't really using Perk as the main reason for his claim though.

It more seemed like he just thinks their window was closed to begin with.

I honestly don't know how he can say they probably won't win the ECF's though, I'm not ready to even suggest that yet.

Yeah I wouldn't go that far, but I would say that they aren't the same lock that they were before this. As for his worth in game 7, playoff basketball, especially a that stage of the game is all about defense and rebounding. Having over 30 rebounds between Gasol and Kobe in a defensive struggle of a game like that is huge. Second chance points are killer. If you're giving them up the other team is likely killing you and if you can keep the possesion alive snatching down the board in a game where the defenses are making dudes work they're asses off, that's huge. But whatever let's continue glossing over that aspect of ball for the Carmelos of the world cause they're good at putting the ball in the basket.

It's a little mix of both.

If they are depending on Shaq to guard Duhwight and Noah, then the Celtics will be making a quick exit.
