In YOUR Opinion: Do The Bulls Have A Good Shot At Winning It All?

I must start off by saying that I have not been following the NBA as much this year, mostly due to the fact that I moved and didn't have cable OR internet most of the year. I just got internet last month. LOL. Add to that the fact that I started personal training, so I've been having to wake up at 4/5 in the morning so I need to get to bed early at night.

But I have been trying my best to keep up with how teams are doing. And I've really been impressed with how well the Bulls have played.

They hold the best record in the East and look like they will finish with homecourt throughout the Eastern Conference Playoffs.
They have one of the leagues best home record.
Their point differential was the best in the league last I checked.
They rebound and play better defense than ANYONE else in the league.
They have beaten all the best teams in the league. They are an impressive 10-5 against the "contenders" this year (LA, SA, Dallas, Boston, Miami, Orlando).
Plus, they've managed to accomplish this with Boozer and Noah missing extensive time due to injury.
Then you have Rose, who looks he will be this years MVP.

I haven't really gotten to see them play. So my question to you guys is, are the Bulls the real deal? Are they serious contenders for the title or are they fools gold? And what has been the keys to their success the season?

Basically, let's hear your thoughts on these Chicago Bulls.

Its not gonna get interesting until the second round, right now it looks like they will be facing the Magic and I think that is a toss up series where either team could win. But I dont see them beating the Celts or the Heat in a seven game series.

Yes. They have a superstar, a solid supporting cast, a smart coach. play great defense, and could very well have home court in any matchup.

Re: In YOUR Opinion: Do The Bulls Have A Good Shot At Winning It All?

I feel the Bulls can beat most teams in the league in a 7-series. However, there are two teams I'm concerned about playing in a 7-game series:

1. Los Angeles Lakers: This is an obvious choice. They are the defending two-time champion. They are playoff-battle tested. And probably the only team in the league that has more size than the Bulls. They are basically a 'better' version of the Bulls. They have a 6'6" version of 'Derrick Rose' in Kobe Bryant and they have Phil Jackson. If the Bulls stand a chance in beating them, they're going to have to have home court advantage.

2. Boston Celtics: You may think I'm crazy BUT Boston really worries me as a Bulls fan. Understand this, they limped into the playoffs last year BARELY winning 50 games and was about 3 minutes away from winning the championship last year. This team is also playoff-battle tested. They'll turn it on when they need to and the Bulls need to be ready for it. Ray Allen(who normally kills the Bulls) and Paul Pierce will be concerns because when the playoffs come around they seem to kick it into another gear.

If the Bulls can make it out of the East and play a team outside of the Lakers in the Finals, I love their chances.

Ray Allen won't have Ben Gordon guarding him this year though, lol. i could probably put up 40 points with him guarding me

to be honest i'm worried about the Heat more than the Celtics. i know we're 3-0 against them and i'm aware of all the problems they've had against the top team... but man they have Lebron James and D-wade. period. its going to be fun as hell to watch thats all i know.

***also on the Magic... if their shooters get hot for a series they will be tough to beat

Does a team that got knocked out in the first round have what it takes to win it all the next year?

Boston did it but the circumstances are different. Plus Gasol wasnt prepared.

Usually teams have to take their lumps.

I say no Rose's Bulls are LeBron's Cavs .5.

Great regular season second round exit.
