Boston's pen outside of Ziegler, Kimbrel, and Uehara are struggling. Hendriks will give them a controllable pen arm which will help considering Tazawa, Uehara, and Ziegler are all free agents. Also, Boston has Sandoval/Hanley at the corners. Whereas Alonso has been struggling for Oakland.

Is it fair or should I add a bit more going to Boston?
They both are ~1 WAR players, both fit needs for each team. No need to add for either side, pretty fair swap.

I'm also looking at a trade for Francisco Liriano who has 9.1 million who will be a FA after next year. He's having a good year but on a team that is 16 games below .500.

Stats:
5-6 107.0 IP 111 K 1.16 WHIP 3.53 ERA 3.05 FIP 2.56 WAR

So everyone knows, my top assets 25 Y.O. or younger across all levels are as follows:

1. Stephen Piscotty
2. Carson Fulmer
3. Arodys Vizcaino
4. Brett Phillips
5. Hunter Renfroe
6. Cole Tucker
7. Jomar Reyes
8. Keone Kela
9. Rob Refsnyder
10. Wei-Chieh Huang
11. Domingo Leyba
12. Drew Dosch
13. Oscar Mercado
14. Jose Urena
15. Jamie Westbrook
16. Yohander Mendez
Sorry for the double post, but might as well do this one too.

Probably one low C for Aybar. He isn't anything special, and nobody will give up much for him. Best bet is a lotto ticket from a team that REALLY needs an infielder.

Liriano on a bad team, putting up decent numbers, but is a FA to be could net two high/mid C's.

For Liriano, would Cole Tucker and Rob Refsnyder get it done? Or would I have to include someone like Renfroe? Also, Liriano has this year and next year remaining in his contract. So I'd have him for the rest of this season, and all of next year

Ahh, thought he was in his contract year. That makes him a good bit more valuable with him pitching like a solid #3. Renfroe and Ref/Tucker seems fine by me as long as they are performing decently.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread

Ok, so I'm doing my 2016 offseason with the Braves, with the team pretty well intact, except replace Dickey/Colon with Hammel on a 2yr/$20m deal.

What would it take to get Archer/Longoria? Obviously I'd have to split it up in terms of the max 3 players for 1.

Thinking something like:

Albies, Allard, Newcomb, Soroka, Rio Ruiz, and Wisler.

That probably still isn't enough.

Realistically you wont be able to pull it. The Braves have depth but to pull those two you're looking at like $300 million in surplus value. I can't see it happening unless BOTH of Albies and Swanson are involved.

I know you won't want to do that so maybe Albies, Inciarte, Newcomb, Allard, Soroka, Acuna, plus Povse and that might get you there. I'm not sure though

I do 30 team control and I would like to pull off one of the rumored deals that's been floating out there around the Twittersphere. I was looking to pull off the almost happened Puig for Braun swap and then a potential Chris Archer or Chris Sale trade to LAD.

Assuming they have stats close to their real life counterparts, what would it take to get these deals done?

The Braun deal was McCarthy, Puig and Verdugo I think for Braun? Someone can correct me if I remembered that one wrong.

For the aces, Urias isn't going anywhere. Hell, I'd make a strong argument that he's more valuable alone than Sale or Archer.

I think you'd put together a package like DeLeon, Calhoun, Bellinger and then fillers for either.
