Pacheco is kind of my backup option. O'Brien is nice because he can catch, he also has that raw power. He's someone I could see being a legit DH option rather than just an insurance policy in case of injury.

O'Brien went to ARI for Prado went they thought he could catch full time, now that they know he can't, i would think his value would be similar to another power guy without a position in Dan Vogelbach. He netted Mine Montgomery, who was a guy at the time who couldn't figure out if he was a starter or a reliever. Is Bryan Mitchell a fair comparison and value then?

highest is tough to say where are each team in the standings and what are the stats of these guys?

This year the mets traded bastardo for Niese and Duke netted the whitesox tilson as he was pitching pretty well. A lot of what you would have to give up depends on the teams position in standings and the pitchers stats so if I can get those I could give you a better proximation on each guy

I would say that would be a good deal for both sides. Mitchell gives the dbacks a guy who can pitch out of their pen now and if any injuries happen can jump over and start. Or if they decide to rebuild he can start sooner then later.

Teams out of it: Rays, White Sox, Rangers (10 GB in WC), Mariners 8.5 GB and Twins 8 GB...Reds, Padres, Brewers, Marlins, Cardinals, Rockies, Braves, Phillies

For Texas, Holland is their 5th starter, 4.37 era in 115 innings. 1.46 WAR, 4.16 FIP. 6.95 k/9 and 3.28 bb/9 with a 1.09 hr/9. Diekman 27 IP, 21 BB 39 K. 7.90 era, 2.90 whip. -.04 war, 12.84 k/9 6.91 bb/9 1.65 hr/9 and 4.83 FIP.

Howell has a 2.36 era in 35 innings for LA. They have a couple guys pitching well in AAA that could replace him but I don't see them trading him

Yah Howell like that on a contending team isnt going to happen Diekman on a rangers team 10 games out with that stat line however I could def see happening. Least you would have to give up would be another arm that is struggling with maybe better stats I mean mets only got jon niese for a struggling bastardo and Benoit only netted the mariners storen. at most you give a prospect on the level of Tilson but with that stat line i think something more like niese or storen is fair. at absolute most prospect with how he is playing mike miller could net you him. if you are really high you could give him swihart but thats an overpay in my opinion

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread

Trying to swing a deal for Erick Aybar at the deadline. He's slashing .260/.314/.323 with a WAR of 1.37. What is a package looking like for him? Two Mid C's?

I'm also looking at a trade for Francisco Liriano who has 9.1 million who will be a FA after next year. He's having a good year but on a team that is 16 games below .500.

Stats:
5-6 107.0 IP 111 K 1.16 WHIP 3.53 ERA 3.05 FIP 2.56 WAR

So everyone knows, my top assets 25 Y.O. or younger across all levels are as follows:

1. Stephen Piscotty
2. Carson Fulmer
3. Arodys Vizcaino
4. Brett Phillips
5. Hunter Renfroe
6. Cole Tucker
7. Jomar Reyes
8. Keone Kela
9. Rob Refsnyder
10. Wei-Chieh Huang
11. Domingo Leyba
12. Drew Dosch
13. Oscar Mercado
14. Jose Urena
15. Jamie Westbrook
16. Yohander Mendez

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread

How does this trade sound? (30 team control in July 2016)

Oakland:
Travis Shaw (.268/.362/.439, 15 HR)

Boston:
Liam Hendriks (40.2 IP, 2.01 ERA, 53 K, 0.98 WHIP)

Boston's pen outside of Ziegler, Kimbrel, and Uehara are struggling. Hendriks will give them a controllable pen arm which will help considering Tazawa, Uehara, and Ziegler are all free agents. Also, Boston has Sandoval/Hanley at the corners. Whereas Alonso has been struggling for Oakland.

Is it fair or should I add a bit more going to Boston?
