Bill's v3 Realism Sliders

[MC Fatigue]

I just had a wicked game with these.

First half I was killing it - 31-0 over the Raiders. AP had 4 TD's; most of which were short runs. I was doing great with Favre, driving up the field and getting to within 3-4 yards of the endzone. Defense was picking everything up, had a few ints...

Going into half time I'm thinking I'm going to slaughter them.

Come back the next half... Everything changes. I get intercepted, resulting in a TD a few plays later. Then I get intercepted for a TD... Then I'm getting shut down pretty well and can't figure out anything - suddenly it's 25-31 after 3 TD's, a FG, and a 2pt conversion on one of the TD's. AP fumbled twice during the 3rd, both times leading to a score for OAK.

It was crazy. I thought I was going to be on the losing end of a huge comeback.

Finally settled down in the 4th and got 2 more TD's with AP. Ended up with 180 yards and 6 TD's. Also had 6 sacks on defense. Ended up winning 43-32... Crazy, crazy game. They basically came out and just dominated for the entire 3rd quarter, and some of the 4th before I finally managed to slow it down and take some time off the clock.

I've had a few games with these sliders now, and they're damn fun. Had a good win a few games earlier that was relatively low scoring. Then I was getting picked apart by NO, with Brees leading the way; I think it was 21-10 going into half-time, but I had to quit because The Biggest Loser came on... Then I had this awesome game.

I can't wait to get going on my franchise but I really can't start it until the first patch is released! Broadcast camera!! Mmmm

Back on track, the sliders look great to me so far!!

ok, captain, these are good, very good but i have two major issues:

1: gosh-darn facemask penalties. i'm playing 8 minute quarters with no clock run (still learning playbook; i know it's not realistic) so it's not like i'm playing 150 plays but i get several of these every game. i could see one facemask a game; two, rarely; but i should never see three or four.

2: my defenders routinely drop easy interceptions. i'm not talking diving plays here, i'm talking balls up in the air or in the chest they get two hands on and not lasers either.

i'm thinking about jacking the int for human to 20 again. the drops i'm seeing are not realistic and that, i think is the goal of your sliders.

i'm playing with the Bills but McKelvin and F. Washington as my two main corners in year 2010, BTW.

linebackers in the NFL catch balls thrown right at them, my guys don't.

Here is how I "deal" with these.

Facemask

Somewhere early on Bill actually had the facemask slider higher in an attempt to compensate for having no PI calls EVER. But it was worse than it is now and it drove him and everyone else crazy so it got backed down. I look at the overall penalty yards and not the actual penalty. Consider half of them PI calls instead.

Or just back that one down a smidge if you can't do that.

Dropped INT

In my mind I imagine almost every one of those drop animations as a swat animation. The LBs will intercept balls. It happens. But far more often they 'drop' them.

IRL the following four guys led all linebackers inthe league in interceptions.

2008 S. Cooper 4 INT
2007 T. Howard 6 INT
2006 L. Fletcher 4 INT
2005 C. June 5 INT

Or just turn that one up a smidge if you can't do that.

that should be the new tagline for Madden. not "if you see it on sunday, it's in the game" (or whatever slogan they were pitching to fans) but this:

i pumped my AI to 20 for ints and picked off Peyton 3 times last game. not crazy, but perhaps not an average night. i'll see.

Hey Bill I had been using your sliders for a while and enjoying them. Had a few small issues, like some players didnt really play like their real selves. Plus some animations were off. Anyways I did more research and came up with these sliders based off Versusz2's sliders. The game feels a lot more real to me, and players tend to play like their real selves as much as madden lets them.
