This is the first time I have ever said something like this, and I will wait until tomorrow and Thursday to form an opinion. But this could be a deal breaker for me even with all of the new stuff added. I don't want or need a quicker gameplay experience.

I made an earlier post along the lines of this concern of the game becoming to fast play for the masses. I was hoping we had a few more years before it became an issue for me. Well I will just cross my fingers and hope it all turns out well.

Highly agreed! I have the same concern hopefully Thursday's stream will address this!

The new interface looks nice but I'm not convinced that the actual gameplay of franchise mode will be any less redundant than in the past.

Sounds like MoM (MoM heads correct me if I'm wrong). Interesting though...

Completely agree. Having that much presentation and ambient time cut away to speed up the game would be one of the extremely few things that would be a deal-breaker for me too.

I want at-least the option to play a full two-hour game on my console if I want to. It's great to include options for people to speed up the game, but don't take away my option to play every second of a long, drawn out, full baseball game with full batter walk-ups, between pitch animations, foul ball tracking, etc.

I honestly don't think they'd do that to the sim community but I'll await Thursday as you do for clarification.

Nothings been cut from Broadcast presentation everything is there. We default the game to Hybrid like last year hence the 45 minute or so avg. base time for completion.

Thank you for the clarification Ramone. I know you didn't have to reply at all so it is much appreciated.

I am worried too. I like MLB The Show but it's terrible to cut away some game scenes for quick play. Various options please, SDS~~
1. Broadcast Mode (Full Game - No Cut Away)
2. Hybrid Mode (1hour)
3. Fast Play Mode (30 ~ 45 minutes)

Nothing is changing. Ramone just confirmed it a few posts ago.

While I'm sure theirs more to come this video was definitely disappointing. Obviously I didn't expect them to come out and spill all the franchise mode improvements/info today before the stream but I did expect at least one notable thing to be in the video which would leave me excited to hear more on the stream on Thursday. Not that I'm not already excited for the stream, hopefully you guys get what I mean.

This is probably the only sports game where the dev team has never left me disappointed at all. Every year the improvements are great and easily warrant a yearly purchase for reasons other then roster and rating updates. Don't expect them to disappoint with franchise this year either. I'm confident theirs many good things to come but I just expected a bit more from this video.

As someone who usually plays a few then sims a few, I love the new additions. I've always wanted something like Quick Manage so I didn't have to sim. Critical Situations makes it even better.

I am one of those every pitch of every game type guys......including spring training. I do however think there will be some real value in the ability to use the situational play in some minor league games. Also, I think they have made the screens ( the ones I have seen ) much easier to read, big cudo for that. Improved ball physics and a sense of urgency was greatly needed and has been addressed as well....fantastic. Now if the wall signage as far as dimensions are correct it will be awesome.

Honestly they sold me with the ball physics vid, I'd love to be able to build a new stadium in franchise but its not a must.

Even blowouts where I am the one winning get really boring to play. Thank you SDS.
I felt the same way and the reason I didn't sim to the end was because the cpu would use my relievers differently that I would. If this new feature prevents the cpu from doing that then it is a positive change for the better.
