Why not do a home game at Rogers Centre? So we can hear what Harold Reynolds has to say about it..

Joe Ross's pitching animation is glitched and has the ball morph when he releases it, and it looks awful.

If you watched any of the stream at all, they said NUMEROUS times it's being fixed and they are working on him.

I enjoyed the stream. I like the new commentators and the MLB Network package looks great. Can't wait for next week when we finally get Franchise info.

1. Faces look incredible
2. Grass/dirt looks better
3. Lighting for those conditions look improved
4. Catcher set ups look great
5. Addition animations/little things [emoji106]
6. Physics!!!!!!!
Everything looks spectacular. if you play the show enough all these enhancements stick out. Gamplay and visual aspects are almost perfect. Can't wait

Sorry, didn't watch the entire video got home from work late and saw the stream towards the end and it had distracted me.

Glad to hear that it will be fixed, hopefully every animation for pitching and hitting in this game looks good.

Yes, they said they're working on it...but unfortunately every year has pitchers with ball warping, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it in the game this year too. I'm glad people complained about it so much tbh because it's something that hopefully goes away completely.

Kirby's saying the same thing about Showtrack only on the MLB Network theme that was shown in the Gamestop video. That's kinda disappointing, but at least theme selection is an option. Still wondering what was up with the Heyward Showtrack on the first reveal trailer though.

Individual matchups are in the game this year, referenced both by the TV graphics and by the commentators.
Pretty sure they said it would play on select plays in non-Network games.

Harold Reynolds sounds great, glad he's in the game.

Yep, am hoping with all of the work on new animations this year that it would be fully gone.

Commentary is very sub par yet again!

1. Matty V still sounds the same and very boring!

2. Dan Plesac hardly talks at all!

3. Harold Reynolds sounded great however and is leaps and bounds better then Matty V!!!

Sorry guys but other then Harold Reynolds who I really think sounded great Commentary still is not even close to what 2K is doing with their Commentary. I was really hoping for the best but that came crashing down pretty quickly into this stream today.

Looks like I will be muting Matty V once again. I don't need to mute Dan Plesac because he was basically already muted lol

On the plus side the MLB Network overlays are very sharp looking!

But still no Studio pre and post game show and sideline reporter.

Overall today's stream was very disappointing to me.

P.S. Please give us an option to turn off the Home Run Camera it sucks!!!

Yeah honestly Harold sounds the best of the 3 in terms of being relaxed and natural.

Accidentally put this in the wrong thread a while ago:

Need to mo cap the umpires. They should set up in the slot depending on left or right handed batters. They should not be right over top of the catcher.

When you umpire you go "ear to ear" and "chin to head" with the catcher. For a rift handed batter, the umpires chin should be even or just about the helmet of the catcher and the umpires right ear should be even with the left ear of the catcher. It is opposite ears for the left handed batter. Yes, I am an umpire. This is a glaring issue for me. Probably no one else cares. The umpires uniforms are not anything like what they wear in the bigs.

This is the black shirt: https://www.ump-attire.com/Baseball-...-Charcoal-Grey

This is the blue shirt: https://www.ump-attire.com/Baseball-...lue-with-Black

It looks like a pretty simple fix that would add a big touch to the game.

Just a heads up - Mill has a nice breakdown of exactly what stadium tagging can do for the commentary, and goes beyond what you heard during the Rizzo HR. The gist is this - if the game knows you hit a ball really long way by colliding with a faraway object, it knows to play a more exciting, specific PBP call from Matt. Hearing that Rizzo hit a ball onto Sheffield is just scratching the surface of what that can do.

His breakdown of the stream should be available on Youtube soon enough (he's still live right now).

# 39 JTommy67 @ 03/02/17 08:18 PM
Harold sounds relaxed and natural. Plesac's barely holding on.

Odd that a mammoth lead off home run didn't generate a single line of commentary from either Harold or Dan.

Showtrack commentary should be one of the color guys, not Matt V.

If it were up to me I'd get rid of the replay shot where the camera is setting in the grass in front of home plate.
