With this being an old build... Hopefully Matt Holliday and other players with new 2017 teams have real portraits come 3/28.

Yeah, I would say that I'm one of the most outspoken critics of Harold Reynolds' commentary in real life, however, the Lyons/Karros pairing in this game is so atrocious (I literally mute them) that I can't see how anyone could be worse. Reynolds might actually be decent in a video game where he's reading pre-recorded lines; he often gets in trouble in real time when trying to ad lib something that turns out to be wrong or ignorant or only half true. Then he repeats it, and repeats it, and repeats it as the broadcast goes along. With a decent script, I could actually see Reynolds being a positive addition to the commentary.

That said, we still don't know who the commentary additions are. They bleeped out the names and neither one seemed to have enough letters to be "Harold Reynolds." It could be a studio show of some kind and it might not even be a replacement of booth commentators.

I noticed in this video or another gamespot video, there was Inside Edge saying (4-8 against Arietta)...Hoping that we get cool presented statistics on more moments like that.

I noticed Ramone saying about the new commentary that there would be 2 new guys joining Matty V, there was no mention of Karros or Lyons so it sounds like they will be gone and replaced with the 2 new guys

But you know people at the Skydome really can't catch because it is too cold for us to play baseball in Canada right?

I still holding out hope for one of the Female reporters from MLB Network.

Good Lord the guys in that video are clueless. The guy is wondering if there's any depth to retro mode as if that's the whole game there. There isn't supposed to be depth in retro mode it's an exhibition mode to play with friends on occasion. The depth of the game is in almost literally every other aspect of the game.

IMO any new commentary will be a welcomed addition no matter who it is !!!

Yeah Holliday looks pretty goofy in that picture

No doubt Harold Reynolds is one of the guys since he already had a few lines last year in that easter egg.

Makes perfect sense, wasn't StatCast mentioned earlier in the year being in this years game?

This is awesome news and the presentation of this series will only get better from here on out.

I see that Game Informer has already edited the video and re-uploaded it without the parts showing the MLB Network stuff. lol Ramone must've given them a bit of a talking to.

Perhaps Pre and post game show from the MLB Network studio? And also maybe cut away's during your franchise games with scoring updates and maybe even highlights or look ins from other games being played? Sideline reporters?

Just think of the possibilities for 17 and in the future!!!

At the very least I hope we get something like this for 17.

Fast forward to around the 2:58 mark for the recap. How cool would it be if we got something just like this after every game!

Here is a MLB Network Boardcast from 2015 Post Season.

I'm curious how much they'll do in a similar fashion to NBA2K where it's an entire pre/post game show.

What do you guys think the asterisks spell out for commentary team?

The top asterisks clearly spell out "MLB NETWORK" PRESENTATION TEAM

# 77 Blzer @ 02/17/17 06:31 PM
****** ******* = George Griffey

I thought for sure it was Harold Reynolds and Bob Costas, but they are both a letter short.
Now I don't know at all....

One of the names has enough asterisks to cover up Cal Ripken.

EDIT: never mind, one short

Same. I am hoping the asterisks to this aren't as accurate like MLB NETWORK. I'd love to see Harold in the game. But we'll see! I couldn't find any good guesses for MLB Network Staff.
