I like that quick manage. It's just like MVP 2005.

I am not sure what I am most excited about from that video between the season stats being back for each plate appearance, the MLB Network presentation package, the quick manage mode or that turn by the 2B on that double play.

Catcher set up animations are sweet!

I don't know which In-Play Camera they were using (Broadcast, Retro, Medium), but it looked very realistic in terms of height and zoom.

MLB Network is legit. Wonder if it highlights game of the week and if you can see which game will get that package in the Today's Games screen in Franchise.

Lighting looks great, models look great, smooth animations.

Something I wanted for a long time. Every catcher is different. Doesn't look like you can choose player specific setups, but the variety is awesome.

That quick manage has always existed (as Sportscast Manager) although it definitely looks sleeker now.

The one thing is that there were never any injuries through it which kind of turned off the immersion...now that its fully integrated within the game itself hopefully that changes things.

I'm trying to look a this stuff low-key at work but thank god! I loved that. I would usually play a game a series and then manage every other game unless it was a big game or teams I wouldn't see as much (inter-league or non-division teams). It'll help me speed up my rebuilding White Sox franchise haha

This. Exactly what I've wanted in a video game

Sportscast Manager was great, but this looks to be soooo much better. By the looks of it, you'll be able to switch back/forth during the game. Which solves the problems with double switches. Plus SM had some other issues with steals, hit and runs, etc. I'm hoping this will answer that as well.

Indeed!

I'm really hoping that online franchise will see some love this year.

If that menu is included in manage mode then I see one new thing - pitch to contact. There were in previous versions bugs which had the cpu taking over for the user and making decisions. 99% of that has been cleaned up but I suspect in some situations the cpu decides to pitch around a batter with a runner in scoring position and first base open.

If my theory is correct then pitch to contact is a welcome addition.

The additional gameplay video footage was also interesting. Thanks to the op for the video.

I feel like they did not do the game any justice when explaining how the game has improved.

They remind me of people who work at GameStop....
They like video games, but in a weird way...
It's so frustrating reading sports game impressions and reviews from people who aren't even sports fans. This happens on sites like ign and gamespot where the people reporting on the game have little experience with past games in the series and little knowledge of the actual sport itself.

Thank God for a site like operationsports. I can actually trust the opinions and views of the writers on the site.

Just heard from Ramone on the Facebook live video that the MLB network video presentation package was 'leaked'
I had a feeling we weren't suppose to see it yet 😂😂

I noticed that there was an MLB Network billboard in the screenshot Ramone posted in that Facebook Live event today, that was probably all the teasing we were supposed to get today.

Harold Reynolds? That's what we have to look forward to? Hopefully there are multiple announcing teams I'm not a huge fan of him.

So now that MLB Network has been confirmed by seeing the logo on the new scorebug what else do you guys think can we expect?

Perhaps Pre and post game show from the MLB Network studio? And also maybe cut away's during your franchise games with scoring updates and maybe even highlights or look ins from other games being played? Sideline reporters?

Just think of the possibilities for 17 and in the future!!!

At the very least I hope we get something like this for 17.

Fast forward to around the 2:58 mark for the recap. How cool would it be if we got something just like this after every game!
