What you referring to re; the shot creator moves?

Are these dribble moves or shots? 😢

Did they fix the body types in the latest patch?

Can you edit the Rhythm Dribble for Created Players (and for regular players in general)?

Oh, for crying out loud--I am SICK of hearing this.
There will NEVER be a fix for body types until a whole new game comes out!
There will CONTINUE to be only seven or eight body types until there's NOT!

Which would you rather have:
A game with players that look like XKCD stick figures, but plays like PS3 2K14?
Or a game with photorealistic models, courts, arenas and all that jazz, but plays like NCAA Final Four 2001, one of the worst basketball games ever made?

Perspective, people!

...

Look, I'm sorry. But when BODY TYPES are the first thing we complain about, then the rest of the game better be pretty darn awesome.

Seems like the only thing they care about is have a higher number at the end of the game. They don't care if it happens in a realistic manner or not.
THIS! Post of the year. 2K need to address the gameplay Offline, and heavily at that. Sick of all these cheesers sooking everytime a patch comes out about how they now cant shoot 3's anymore etc. Im a simballer and want the game to play as realistic as possible. Dayum

What a joke if true. It seems all these patches are designed for online players and not the simballers who play offline. Ridiculous

Just checked out Belubas twitter. Only gameplay change was the drop in FG%. So disappointing. 7.5gb for what? Was hoping this would be the 'Gameplay heavy' patch we tend to get around Xmas.

Anyone know if there is a lot of art updates in this patch? Might explain the size of it... would love the ability to change body types in create a player... more cyberfaces added... or anything along those lines though I'm probably dreaming

2k owns the market on basketball video games and I feel that has led them to focus more on how to squeeze money out of the game instead of making a better basketball game.

Except for the fact they have bucked the trend and created a robust, customisable offline mode that is not monetised in any way.

People saying that the FG% was the only change in 1.07....fingers crossed you're wrong.

I don't mind the FG% being tuned, but personally, they need to address CPU speed/lateral quickness/acceleration on the defensive end and sometimes offensive end.

This is a personal viewpoint (echoed by some on OS) that the CPU has unnatural ability to stay in front of you when defending you on-ball. Further, on the fast break, the CPU is able to explode away from you or catch up to an explosive player of yours (and bumping you, people have vids/gifs of a grabbing animation by the CPU on the fast break) in an unnatural way.

Some attributed this to the body-up sensitivity slider, some the lateral quickness, some the acceleration/speed. There was a thread saying that accel/speed sliders should be reduced to 25/30 on HOF so that your speed with the same player is equal to that of the CPU's.

Again, my viewpoint is that this shouldn't affect PvP online play. Reason being, humans control both sides and mistakes on D will be made. However, human vs CPU games are, by my observations, greatly affected by CPU stat boosts (not seen in the sliders, as 50 for the human is different to 50 for the CPU).

I guess we'll just have to change the sliders for now. I'm happy to do this, but I'd like to see if this is true or if I'm just dreaming up things.

I have a feeling 2K, with the more recent iterations, have wanted us to play more intuitive basketball by running plays and emphasising off-ball movement.

Therefore, they decided to make it feel more 'unnatural' with the game doing weird things (like odd turnovers that always plagued 2K, silly AI teammates making silly movements, CPU doing their shot clock cheese) so as to force you into playing a more 'strategic' game of basketball.

E.g. if you keep trying to force yourself into the paint on a drive, and you're holding turbo, the CPU will force ridiculous turnovers on you when it shouldn't happen. E.g. preventing easy drives with CPU defenders always staying in front of you forces you to pass and move the ball around to find a clean look.

Not a bad thing to enrich gameplay and force the user into more variety, but all I ask is that 2K be transparent with what their direction is and that CPU advantages/disadvantages be communicated to us. E.g. start with raw numbers of badge boosts (if that's what they actually do, idk)

EDIT: >Not monetising an offline game that costs $69 and required 7 patches in 2.5 months (not complaining about this part, would love patches that fix). Really? This is a good thing? I don't think this is something to praise LOL. Not much of a gamer here (other than the sports franchises and MOBA), but what other game monetises an offline game that cost that much? Don't count DLC.

Hahaha popcorn [emoji897] bro

Body types. Sick of it. They should try other games like UFC. NBA 2K don't care about body types there's just too much, much, much work to do at hand. 2K's plate is full. And this patch isn't the last. More to come, don't worry.

I apologize for sounding like a broken record, but this is the 7th patch and I bet they still haven't touched the Knicks away jerseys.

Yeah this is the only thing I really care about at this point but I'd be very surprised if it happens.

Wow that is crazy. So still the same PnR / double team cheese. I'm really tired of it...

So are you saying our only choice track is accurate player models with bad gameplay or odd/inaccurate player models with great gameplay? Terrible options for us. I was hoping we could have both great models and gameplay but I'm an optimist by nature. You are right that this game has many more problems to fix than just models but it seems to most that editing body types would prove to be one of the easier things they could change..lol
