I wish 2K would release an update with an option for those who bought on digital and prefer to play offline, to reset the game to the way it was on release.

Allow us access to remove all updates and tuners.

So how is it post patch? Are sharpshooters finally more like Kyle Korver and less like better versions of Steph Curry?

The patch is also out on PC now, but the thread in the PC area was locked. Somehow we're the red-headed step children to both 2K and this site even though the game is the same for all platforms now (including price).

Uh...no (at least regarding this site). The thread you reference was made on December 7, before the patch came out. That's why it was locked.

Now that it's out, I'm sure impressions and discussion on it in that subforum would be perfectly fine.

Yeah. I worded it badly, compounded by me just being in a bad mood so salty for no reason. All I really meant was that I couldn't post information in the thread in the PC forum (and I didn't feel like starting a new one was a great idea) so I was posting it in the main thread here, and while typing it somehow turned into a whine.

Sorry.

All good.

I just PM'd the mod who locked it and asked him to re-open it, so hopefully you can have your discussion over there soon.

If anyone else is having trouble. The link below explains how to get rid of the error codes. I have not been able to try it yet. Hopefully it works.

Me and some friends just ran about 15 games on MyPark and while the zigzag shooting seems to have been effectively reduced, we noticed an excessive amount of half-court (or near half-court) shots swishing in (even from the stretch bigs).

Why does everyone think of Kyle Korver when thinking about a Hall of Fame sharpshooter. Try thinking Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, Paul Pierce, Curry.

Dirk, KG, Sabonis, Lambeer, Sampson etc.

doesnt matter cus none of them could shoot 60-70% from three like stretch bigs do in 2K

Ryan Anderson, Mirza Teletovic come to mind first as stretch PF players. Also Marc Gasol and Zydrunas Ilgauskas (near end of his career) as stretch Centers.
However i cant think of any big center that classifies for the Gold/HoF limitless range badge .

The only big man in the league now that I see that can play with that kind of range is Porzingis.

Others are capable of hitting threes, but I haven't seen them play as deep as Porzingis.

I think its great. You can still miss wide open 3s with the best shooters ever, and that's fine. They missed them in real life too.

Reminder to all. The best 3 point shooter of all time is S. CURRY. His career avg is about 44%. So if you're upset he's not shooting better than that, then you don't know real basketball.

Question, does Deep Range Deadeye count for much anymore? I'm asking because (once again) I'm noticing some really bad late contests being counted as full, in-your-face-the-entire-time contests. As in, someone closing out with an extremely late jump from the baseline hashmark on a corner shooter being able to knock their shot grade down to a D and below.

I don't have a sharpshooter myself, so that makes it more difficult for me to judge the changes in patch 7, but from defending sharpshooters frequently in MyPark, I still feel like they make too many fully contested shots, even against lockdown defenders who have a height advantage, a 94 shot contest rating, and the hall of fame defensive stopper badge.

Here are two instances from one game where a smaller sharpshooter hit fully contested shots over my hall of fame defensive stopper:

https://youtu.be/63u3lY1mJsQ?t=4m2s

https://youtu.be/63u3lY1mJsQ?t=5m26s

On average, I'm still seeing terrible shots like those going in at least once or twice per park game when guarding a sharpshooter or shot creator. The rate of success for fully contested shots over lockdown defenders should be much lower than that. It should be something that happens once every 10 games, not once or twice per game. Otherwise, what's the point of even making a lockdown defender?
