NBA 2K17 Patch 1.05 Coming Soon, Fixes Roster Update Issue, Pro-Am & More

NBA 2K17 patch 1.05 is coming soon, according to the official NBA 2K Twitter account. The tweet confirms update 1.04 introduced issues for the team to update rosters.

Pro-Am divergences will also be addressed, but nothing specific was detailed. Once the patch is available and/or we get more details, we will let everyone know.

They don't do this because it's possible Sony or Microsoft takes something out of a patch that they put in. So they don't release patches until it releases to make sure everything gets in. I honestly don't remember a game that released patch notes before the patch is available for download, but I'm sure someone has an example just for these types of debates.
Never heard of MS or Sony going into the proprietary code & "removing" something. Not saying it couldn't happen, just never heard of that.

I thought they would just outright reject the patch. Like if an app is rejected from an app store, it's up to the developers to make the corrections, Apple/Google won't go into your code & remove things.

Same here . Battlefield and 2k are the only reason I have a ps4

Wide open looks. A standard 75 rated 3 point shooter with no badges should be in the 33-35% range. If a 75 is hitting 40% than that means Curry at 99 should hit 70%+. That doesn't make sense. In park yeh I guess but for sim basketball, no thanks.

I cannot wait to see the patch notes. This has to be the BIG gameplay patch. Hoefully they really turn things around. The game was released with waaayyy too many bugs ans gameplay issues..

I'm hopeful..

I'm wishing they gave us a release date on the patch but relieved to hear there is one arriving with what ever isissuethat are being fixed.. But one grief that I read of 3 point basket being difficult by users and cpu shooting 3's at 40 to 50 percent I'm not experiencing that issue i play at superstar and my percentages are high 30's to mid 40's while cpu only averages 20 to 40 percent depending on the team.

Praying the Patch doesn't come until Nov 10th 2016. I just sold my PS4 for 200bucks and Purchased the PS4 Pro. I Want to re-experience this game in 4k/hdr/60fps in patch 1.05 next week.

A game engine involves years of development.

The devs know lots about basketball. At least one is a former professional.

The patch cannot come no later than November 10th right? That's when the PS4 Pro is released and the game needs to be updated to play on it

Games don't need to be updated to play on the Pro (otherwise all existing PS4 games would require a patch in order to work, which isn't the case). Existing games just need an update if they want to take advantage of the extra resources available on the Pro, without an update they'll run the same as the standard PS4.

Well that's what I mean this game will need to be updated to take advantage of the things that PS4 Pro can do. They promised an update to do that. somebody around here posted a link about it a few weeks ago.

They all are very knowledgeable about the game of basketball. I can guarantee much more than you and I. So that's the farthest thing of what the problem is.

how about fixing the long wait for online ranked, letting us change teams before the game, stop letting the 2 same teams playing each other and stopping all the random crap animations happening. ?????

I completely disagree. You are talking about wide open, warmup-like 3 point shoot, which players like Curry, Thompson or Melo are shooting on a really high percentage. They only shoot around mid 40's throughout the season, because you have to count in all of the 3's they taking, including wide open and also those lower percentage, such as contested, crowded or shots at the end of the shot clock, some times from half court.

Waiting patiently for the patch as moving screen spam has completely killed my enthusiasm for this game at this point.
