NBA 2K17 Face Scan App (MyNBA2K17) Available For Android & iOS Devices

MyNBA2K17 is available now for Android users on the Google Play Store and according to Ronnie, it is scheduled to arrive for iOS devices at 6:00 AM PST.

UPDATE #2: The servers are down.

UPDATE #3: The servers are up and MyTEAM Mobile seems to work, but switching over to NBA 2K17 to get a face scan, gives you the following error:

As we hear anything, we will continue to update this post, but let us know what you're seeing.

Ronnie also mentions that you won't be able to see your scan until The Prelude is released on Friday, but you will be able to scan your face with the app.

I don't understand why they didn't just copy what alive did. I scanned my face once with Live and it came out perfect. You could also preview it in the app without having to wait 5 minutes for it to upload. Unless you have the most perfect light ever you are going to get some weird coloring or double eyelids and lips.

I been trying for like the past twenty minutes and it hasn't even got transferred onto my player yet.

Always get an error once it gets to 100%...

And the funny thing is, I'm taking the pics in my bathroom where my lighting is really perfect and the pics on my phone look great...might just give up again this has never worked for me.

I finally got a scan that looks good, not great but good enough for now. I'll keep trying to get a better scan but i like how its turned out so far.

I don't know what it is I'm doing wrong. I'm under natural sunlight, I'm holding the phone steady, yet I only get average results. Which actually look like Horrible results.

Probably just 2k's body types, but your face looks a little pudgy on 2k. Other than that I think it looks good.

I just feel like scans have never been quality enough (scans when done well still aren't very accurate). Then on top of that you can't even choose form the 8 or so body types they use in the game anyway, so whats the point. The story is linear... There just isn't much about my career that is actually mine. That's just me though. I really do hope it works out well this year for the guys out there that use it.

Noticed that whenever I had my face at a decent distance it got ruined, so I just kept it really close at daylight

Yeah that's what I found, but I still only manage to get crappy scans in.

What do you mean by the story is linear? Explain please. How much of the story is there in the Prelude? Or do you already have the game and have played through the story?

I have both the app and the prelude downloaded.

Where should I go first ??

Scan my face then go into the prelude or go into the prelude and the scan my face ??

If it's the second option, how much of the prelude should a play before scanning my face ?

Scan face then go into prelude.

Why can't we at least select from a bunch of noses/ears/eyes? Would make the crappy scans easier to deal with.
