An Early Look at Madden NFL 17 Presentation

Damarious Randall, cornerback for the Green Bay Packers, posted this Madden NFL 17 screenshot, (which has recently been deleted) showing off some of the new presentation in the game this year.

It's obviously early in the cycle, so a lot of details won't be shown off. Either way, it's Madden NFL 17 news and we are going to post it.

It was around this time last year the Madden hype train started, as they gave the release date with plenty of details on the game released in May.

What their still missing are the fan scenes from Madden 10. Hate how they take things out, and then when they add something they only do it half-way. I coulda sworn Big Daddy Kane told us no half-stepp'in in like 1988?

The 1pm lighting looks good on my tv, I respectfully disagree that any element of the night lighting was better in 15, to me it's no comparison between the lighting in 16 and any previous version besides 12.

Actually, Grid, I don't pay any attention to that stuff in the other games, I couldn't care less if the players are wearing Jordan's or Nike's, but I know other people do pay attention to that stuff. You are talking to someone who played HH baseball on the computer back in the day with those burned out faces.

Nah, I don't won't the create a fan or cheerleader or create a ring back, either. I didn't like the cut outs in 10.

Nice effort, though, got to give them that.

Even when MUT was introduced, i've never touched MUT or went online to play. I like playing offline alone. I like being immersed as a player or coach or whatever.

The MUT and online stuff is just novelty to me. Im old school.

At this point I think game play is less of an issue than presentation that is both realistic and helps you get the info you need to prepare to play.

That sucks. I wish they can cater to both without compromising. Madden 16 is a really good game, I think probably the best Madden yet, but it can get better.

I'd hate to mention 2K because I know it's redundant, but that halftime show they had was really immersive. I loved seeing my created player make the highlights and watching all the other highlights from the league.

If they added that to the offline mode, they would make a majority of us so happy.

They can and are. There are two different development teams, probably in two different works on the 2 different modes.

Easily the best Madden since the PS2 days. But still has many, many, flaws. But I think they have a clear vision now. But I hate the XP system.

I usually say hate is a strong word, but it fits my feelings towards this RPG XP garbo.

It is still sad when PS2 maddens are better than Madden in 2016

This is really on the top of my list of things we need from the ps2 era. Movement just felt so right. Even for the non ball carriers.

I hope they over do it when it comes to equipment because they are so far behind in this category adding a few new cleats and helmets wont be enough, but I am glad to know it was at least touched for Madden 17 lol.

To piggyback off of Gridiron, I would like to see the cleats color be able to be selected in the edit player screen for each player instead of the uniform select screen, all players on teams don't wear the same color cleats.

Would be nice to add Jordan brand cleats to the group, a lot of big name players wear them.

Every time I see something about cleats I can't help but bring up this photo:

From a M13 presentation blog. Still not sure why we never got the team color cleats in that style.
