Something I am loving this year is the 3 different presentation (OSD and score bugs) packages. I actually look forward to seeing which one I get in different markets.
Really nice touch.
Really nice touch.
First time ever buying the Show. I love the in-game experience, but I have to say that I'm seriously disappointed by the customization options in franchise mode.

I may have just never noticed this before in other games, but it just now dawned on me... the catchers wear nail polish on their fingernails to make it easier to see the signs. Maybe I'm mistaken, maybe it's just an exaggerated lighting for me, but I swear Stephen Vogt had yellow fingernail polish on during my last game.
That's a really nice touch if it was true.

Ok I've never been the one to nitpick minor bugs or details but this crazy baserunning and the catcher not tagging runners at the plate is rediculous. I just lost 2 DD conquest game in a row because the catcher didn't tag the runner going home.

having been away from the Show for the past year (have only been playing the odd game on PS Vita)
i finally bougtht 16 the other day
wow!
the game is amazing..best sports game every made
played for 10 straight hours last night..so many options to do...
gameplay is smooth as, graphics are unbelievable and road to the show is better than ever...
i repurchased a PS4 just for this and imo it was worth the price of the console alone just for this game
thanks to the develópers for making this game for the fans...

Made the move back to the Fisheye camera for batting, and I am really liking this view now. Nice addition to the list of available cameras.

After messing around with sliders for the first half of my season, I went back to DD and I really like how it's playing out. I've leveled up to high Veteran/low All Star Hitting and HOF pitching and I'm seeing incredible game variety. I'm getting high scoring games, low scoring games, blow outs, the whole deal. I think they tuned this setting nicely since last year. Since I went to DD, I haven't looked back. With that and QC, I'm having the best experience I've ever had with The Show.

When I get to All-Star level, I drop the DD slider down to 2. You'll still see movement up and down, but won't fall down an entire level if you have a tough inning on the mound or at the plate.
MLB 16 The Show is a great game. IMO best one to date. There are a few things that take me out of the experience a bit and dampen the realism for me (single offline player):
1. All the extra pop-ups, notifications, icons take away from the realism for me.
- Manager tips, huge baserunning icon, XP points, defensive shift icon notifications, L1 cutoff notification, etc. I use auto baserunning and auto fielding/man throwing...I wish I could just turn all this stuff off.
2. Lack of true broadcast pace of game
- Why cut off the throw back to the pitcher from the catcher...I went back to MLB '13 PS3 and played...going back to the '13 model of switching the camera angles is better than cutting short an animation....I'm tortured because every game it does it once correctly all the time (introducing the home umpire) and I've seen it do it correctly once or twice randomly in a game i was playing...it was so nice to see the throw back to the pitcher and then him slowly positioning himself back on the mound (matter of fact, i'd love to see that slow option for pitcher delay return)
- Animation is cut short when the first basement throws the ball back to pitcher on a pickoff attempt...maybe other bases too, but i don't throw back for runners on 2nd or 3rd ever
-The infrequency of the camera tracking the majority of fouls into stands / out of play
-The inability to turn off the HR camera
In summary, I wish there was a way to turn off everything icon/help/notification related (i.e. anything i wouldn't see watching a TV game) only leaving the scorebug.
Finally, a rock solid framerate at 60fps would be a dream. I forgot how smooth '13 on PS3 played. It was night/day difference (I know with all the upgrades to the current PS4 version that may not be fair, but i'm just saying)
I don't know much about the patching process and all involved...so, I don't know whether to just give up hope or just accept the fact this is where the series is going and i'm in the extreme minority.
Even with all that, the game is so fun and hard to put down. I read all the good stuff about Uncharted 4, but if I bought it, it would just be another coaster that Uncharted 3 turned out to be. With a tight schedule and a 6 yr old, when 30 minutes are free there can only be one winner.

I wish they could patch in a new or a few different home run trots, it should be more epic then what is in the game now.

I love this game, but there are WAY too many dropped pop ups/fly balls. It's not like I have guys out of position or making difficult plays. Guys are just dropping the ball and it caused me two franchise games so far...smh

I only see this happen 3/4 times every complete cycle.

I just started season two, and two things jumped out at me:
1) I saw new third inning real-life shots, which might mean that they hold some back in the presentation for year one.
2) The announcers have been talking about what my players did last year, which is really cool. Grandal has gotten love for being the WS MVP and Seager has gotten love for winning the Silver Slugger award for NL shortstops.
Really helps the immersion factor in franchise mode to feel like you own little world is taking its own narrative shape.

Did you finish that 19 run game? I just couldn't do it.

This game really pisses me off sometimes. I played a couple online games this morning and it really made me question this game and the stuff that happens.
The first game I was beating this guy 12-1 before the mercy rule kicked in. His pitcher got rocked and he had fielding errors. Second game was the EXACT OPPOSITE. I threw Bumgarner and he was beating me 13-1 before the mercy rule kicked in. Bum got rocked and there were fielding errors. Two blowout games in a row???? I find it hilarious that something like this would happen.
Third game I was Cubs, he was White Sox. He shut me out 7-0 with Chris Sale. Sale is unhittable in this game. All I could get were slow choppers and foul ball pop ups. Yet I throw Jake Arrieta, the best pitcher in baseball, and he tees off on me.
Elite pitchers don't feel elite in this game. Too many times do great pitchers get rocked in this game. Fielding errors resulting in runners on base or runs being scored are extremely frustrating. I get to the point where I get so fed up with the BS that I end up shelving it or getting rid of it and never playing it again. The last 2 years I've played the game for 2 months and then ended up trading it in. Looks like it might be the same situation this year.
