EA Sports UFC 2 Community Impressions

EA Sports UFC 2 is available today in stores! We are currently working on a first impressions piece and our review (which should be live late tonight or tomorrow!).

This year's game features a plethora of improvements, including dynamic grappling, a new Ultimate Team mode, and new game modes.

Want to learn how to play EA Sports UFC 2? EA Sports created several gameplay tutorial videos, which you can find here.

I really liked how the original UD game showed your 3 strong points, like if you were a grinder or striker, had heart. that was great.

I'd like to see a VIP system like in the 2K football days. Make them downloadable so you can essentially play against yourself to see your own tendencies and "scout" opponents.

Haha. It's usually hard times for me on my back with JoJo as it is, but it's damn near impossible against a good ground guy using her. I should've blocked more of your strikes to transition instead of trying to interrupt them. You mixed up your ground strikes enough to keep me off balance. But yeah, **** that ground **** lol.

I'm getting really frustrated with the online judging. Fight after fight I out-strike, rock and/or knock down my opponent (sometimes multiple times), and yet I consistently lose these decisions. =(

I beat Iron_Sharif, the #2 guy on the PS4 leaderboard. I was surprised not to see him use a top guy, he had Ahkmedov. He relies on his parry a ton, so I just took my time throwing out a lot of one punch setups to avoid it as much as possible. Ended up getting a split decision with Magny.

You beat the #2 guy on ps4 and the guy who won the tournament for money but then you lose to me #30 on ps4 leaderboard in a minute and 20 seconds in the first round.

Something does not add up there... Are you on PED's???

Lol. Well you took me down pretty much right away and me and Sharif spent the majority of the fight on the feet. Getting me to the ground is the best way to beat me. I feel like I can stand with anybody.

This guys PSN name is certainly apropos. In the last game you'd see really high strike numbers all the time, but no so much in this one.

That's a lot of total strikes.

There's a lot of ppl who still play that way and with certain fighters it can be pulled of pretty easy. My thumbs would break off pushing the buttons that many times. lol

Don't get me wrong, I love the game. Having said that, can someone please explain to me how the hell I lost this fight?

Please give us the ability to change move sets, or do a better job of knowing fighters moves and what they train to do. Rousey symmetrically pulling off head kicks is one of the many reasons I'm returning this title. Correct collision detection and make the blows mean something always. Its annoying to be dominating on the feet only for the opponent to go for a take down which nullifies the teep I just put in their gut. It seems like boiler plate EA so far, improve in making the game look pretty with new animations and graphics only to have similar or new performance issues from the previous title. At least let me change the move sets on my own if your not gonna do it. I've never even seen Ronda practice any type of kick.

Does Skynet from the UFC Dev. Team play UFC 2 quick match? because i just played a Skynet on the PS4 in a quick match and it made me think if it was him. I was pretty rough on the guy if it was. lol Who knows.

Skynet is from the Terminator movies. Theres probably 100 people on ps4 with skynet names

Ya I know that but ive never seen a Skynet screen name on UFC 2.
