I played a good game and noticed various things, however, I will no longer speculate when there is no information for us to reference after patches are released period!

It was just for some crashes and the summer circuit.

By having no notes, we end up with placebo posts like yours...and then a dozen more guys will say "hey, they fixed rebounding because I just got 20 boards with DeAndre Jordan".............when, actually, nothing was touched.

Again, I do not mean to embarrass you...but this is why we need notes.
I said this a million times last year. Some more respected posters here were and still are among the group of 'I experienced this, it must be the patch' group. And when it's a positive, EA are happy to laugh and nod their head.

It's a joke.

And sorry, but I don't understand how a 1.2gb patch can just be for bug fixes.

This was recorded from Live '14..

Only reason I am bringing it up again is because I am watching someone stream\ making a YouTube video where on Superstar....they are doing this exclusively with Greg Monroe...they are currently up 43-34 with all points scored by Monroe going coast to coast like this..

They are experiencing a bit more resistance than in the '14 video...but once Monroe gets relatively close to the paint he can launch into a lay up from far out and either score and get fouled.

I get that you can abuse the game, yield unrealistic results from playing unrealistically....but I think this is an inherent issue with 1) the way interior D is handled 2) the speed\ skill\ animations between players....and it still seems to be an issue to this day.

I think it's because Live at default is designed to be a free flowing, offensive game. Driving to the hoop is too easy.

For me on All-Star (and I've been messing around with Superstar the last couple games) I put both jostle sliders down to 0. Put block shots at 100 and it's MUCH harder to do that kind of crap. You have to work to get into the lane and those layup animations and even if you do you will face some rejections as well. Doesn't help online but offline it helps reduce the points in the paint. I still see too much from the cpu but we do have some tools to help. I'd like to see more mid range pullups and quick shots off screens.

I've tried a few games on Superstar and I think the cpu plays smart. I don't see the big negative in their style other than me getting my butt kicked. The cpu seems to be able to throw the ball in the bucket like throwing it into the ocean. My guys, not so much. But I certainly have to pick my game up. Feels as though I have to be on my game 100% of the time to compete which in some ways is good and others ways a bit frustrating. On All-Star I feel I have an advantage in even matchups. On Superstar the cpu is clearly better than me. May just stick with All-Star and boost the cpu a little bit.

Again, I'm not a hardcore basketball guy like some of you guys. I'm just not as good.

Just barely missed the playoffs at #9 spot in a short season. Will start a new season at 82 games this time. This is the only hoop game I can play over and over in franchise mode. FUN.

You simply can't do that cheese any more. Even the manual screen and drive is much improved since 15 in terms of the CPU defense.

Likewise, the cheese from abusing (while still somewhat possible) the euro-step is largely toned down.

With the right sliders, on the right difficulty you will find it very hard to cheese and score at will in this game. The CPU is pretty impressive, I'll give it that.

I am 36-10 in UT and have had some nailbiting wins thanks to some tough CPU efforts.

You got me itching to start the season my man! Just waiting (maybe too patiently) for a few things to fall into place. I've come up with a good set of recently modified All Star sliders but also waiting to see how Playmaker pending Pro sliders will perform from a realism and challenge perspective. Glad to hear you're enjoying Dynasty mode.

I'm telling you, the jump from last year on the offensive end and also on defense to a certain degree (close outs, interception attempts, positioning, blocks) is impressive. I'm able to jump the passing lane alot more effectively this time around as is the cpu. In fact, most steals are arrived at by this method compared to 15 which was the opposite. Suffice to say that direct steals have been drastically toned down. Also, the screen option has been implemented in a much more realistic way this year as mentioned and cant be abused as much. We have to give the credit when it's deserved man. I played a game against the Nets yesterday and what..a...game! The cpu now has the ability to sniff out weak links in your lineup. They kept on attacking Jr Smith and Joe Harris on offense returning to the "well" on 4 successive trips down court at one point, converting on 3 out of those 4 trips. I reviewed the defensive ratings for these 2 players and immediately knew what the cpu was trying to accomplish. This all changed when a different strategy was employed.

It was very difficult to contain Young who ended the game as their lead scorer. Joe Johnson had a quiet night on offense (guarded by Lebron) but became a facilitator dishing out 6 dimes in 5 min qtrs. There were 8 mid range shots attempted by the cpu, fg% 46 Cavs 50% Nets.

Finally, I actually saw good decision making as it relates to late game AI, this on All Star mode with my newly modified sliders. They actually went for the right plays with less that a minute on the clock down 7 points. They swung the ball around and when I shut down the designated 3 point shooter, they successfully found another capable perimeter scorer on the wings. I definitely hope to see this outcome more consistently going forward.

Not sure what you mean, I watched it be done....and can duplicate.....

Fortunately sliders are there this year to help ....the inside game still needs to be rebuilt though IMO....this is were the touted physics should come into play...

Finally got my Rising Star games to work which I'm happy about. My gripe with the mode so far is that I'm on the Celtics and they don't ever play Isiah Thomas while I'm playing for some reason. Instead they'll run with Evan Turner or Avery Bradley at point for some reason. Also there seems to be this thing where you sim until your subbed in and when it's time for me to come in it just go backs to the simulation screen a couple of times. I do like how I struggle to score against the real good defensive guys and how I have to run through plays to get a good open shot.

By the way I hope they add more stuff to do pro-am wise during the year. I'm guessing they'll wait until next year to add new venues to the game but I basically only have the last Jordan court to go through and then I'm done. I'll probably play Live Run every once in awhile but without the ability to set up an official squad I don't see myself playing that much. I wish they touched on an offline mode to make the game worth playing throughout the season.

I love how you can set the minutes for each player rotation. Has it always been this way in other live games? Auto Substituting is excellent with manual time outs.

I think the late game AI might be a level issue as opposed to gameplay issue...

I've played over 30 games on Pro level and to be honest the reason why I've never posted about late game issues is because i wasn't really seeing any problems.

I think the people who are seeing these issues should start posting what level they are playing on because it would help the live team figure out why one level isn't redering this issues and another level is having issues.

I'm seeing tons of fouls on Pro Level, some off target passes leading to unforced turnovers which is cool and nice game managment decisions by the CPU AI.

You guys know I"ve been really hard on this series for the past 2-3 releases blasting EA for their efforts....

I'm still very unhappy with the lack of editing but the game this year has been a pleasant surprise for me.

I see them at Superstar. Have you had a lot of close games?

The most consistent example I have seen is when I am up 3 in the last 40 or so seconds.

Comes down to fun factor for me and Live just has that over 2k.

I also did find that at the end of a close game the CPU will press me. If I beat that press with my point guard I can simply turbo right down the floor and dunk it. Defensive help does not rotate as they stay glued to their man on the wings.

The CPU fouls too quickly too. If they are only down one possession they shouldn't intentionally foul with over 30 seconds left. All Star and some superstar.
