Today Electronic Arts Inc. launched NBA LIVE 16 on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PlayStationŽ4 computer entertainment system. NBA LIVE 16 highlights the brand-new LIVE PRO-AM mode, as well as the new LIVE Motion physics system. Players can express themselves both on and off the court with new gameplay mechanics, fresh gear and kicks, plus new ways to play.

LIVE PRO-AM provides players the chance to rise together with online team-play mode LIVE Run and the new cooperative Summer Circuit mode. In LIVE Run up to 10 players can compete in online games to 21 points on iconic courts like Rucker Park, Venice Beach, Terminal 23 and more. Summer Circuit allows up to five players to travel around North America challenging all-star teams as they try to become the true kings of the court. Those who have played the NBA LIVE 16 demo on Xbox One or PS4 will be able to carry over created player progress and unlocked gear, getting a leg up on the competition.

Players can find the perfect gear to express their personality, with hundreds of shirts, shoes, sneakers, and more available from top brands. Players can also get themselves in the game with the official NBA LIVE Companion (available on the App Store and Google Play) featuring GameFaceHD. This exclusive mobile scanning technology allows fans to quickly and easily scan their face and upload it to their in-game character.

Created characters can also be used in Rising Star career mode (retaining all progression across modes), and aspiring GMs can try their hand at running a NBA franchise in Dynasty mode. Players looking to build an unbeatable crew of both modern stars and past greats can jump into LIVE Ultimate Team, and those hoping to either relive or rewrite history can check out LIVE Rewind and Big Moments. Newcomers or players looking to build their skill base can jump into Learn LIVE, with multiple options for drills and practice sessions.

Fans will also be treated to enhanced gameplay in NBA LIVE 16 thanks to the new LIVE Motion physics system. Players move with purpose and react intelligently to try and get open with cuts and off-ball screens. Plus, new mechanics like touch passing and dribble handoffs make it easier than ever to orchestrate the offense and make the big play. In addition to all these features, new shot mechanics, shot meter and feedback give players instant information to help them learn exactly when to release the ball. With the variety of modes, options and gameplay upgrades, there’s something in NBA LIVE 16 for everyone.

I also find pro level to be the best level with the least amount of CPU BS that occurs. CPU tends to pass the ball around a lot more on Pro too.

The late game CPU AI isn't as bad as the higher levels is either. They are way more aware of the clock and the score on Pro.
What took you so long bro?

Been saying this since the demo.....

Pro level IMO is the best level hands down with tweaked sliders

I have some sliders for Pro Level that I'm waiting to release once EA does their thing with this synergy information for opening day.

I've been getting some awesome games but also keep in mind i utilize RATINGS ONLY shooting

Have to go with all star but still hugely dissapointed with synergy screwing up everything

True! You indeed made reference to this from day one. Personally, I liked how the game flowed and played out on Pro, however, at the time, I decided to switch to All Star after noticing some defensive deficiencies. A true challenge on offense from the cpu was also lacking. Admittedly, I did not exhaust all slider options on Pro so I am back to conduct further tests. Hope to find an effective balance. If not, back to All Star. I'm definately not touching Superstar if this logic holds true.

One little thing, I have lost a jump ball for the poster who said it can't happen. You have to hit jump pretty late but you can throw it. It should certainly be tougher but I did see it!

Don't press any button....do not even hold the controller. Just let the controller sit on your couch...

And you will win the jump ball every time.

Seriously.

They nerfed success right under the basket in Pro Am it seems...that's cool...I have to be more selective with put backs

they should've nerfed the driving guards too though to be fair...

"NBA Live doesn't care bout big people" lol

Upset I can't play Rising Star mode because it always freezes on me in a middle of a game. This is the 3rd year in a row where I have this problem with Rising Star mode.

I really want to play more Summer Circuit but time, she is a cruel mistress.

Gonna give my impressions when I'm done with the October mut gauntlet, but a few things that bother me are the fact the cpu never takes advantage of transition opportunities and timing on the alleys.

There's a bit of a fast break bug for the CPU when they'll do a walking dribble instead of running in transition...

I jacked up their alley oop slider to 100 makes it much better

Sadly I had to put this game on ice permanently. I couldn't take the late game AI anymore. This is the THIRD straight year that it has been present on NBA Live games - totally unacceptable.

The devs should be embarrassed and ashamed that this BS reared its ugly head yet again in their game. What's worse is that their so-called Day 1 patch didn't even address this issue - when everyone and their mothers pointed it out on the demo and the EA Access release.

Until EA decides to get serious about their NBA product and trash the game engine that they've been using and slightly tweaking for the past 3 years - I'm done with them. Charging $60 for a beta game is laughable.

While I admit the game is fun and the graphics look great. Watching the cpu bass the ball around like a "hot potato" with 20 seconds left and never getting a shot off while down by 3 points is a JOKE....or the cpu down by 3 points with 38 seconds left in the game clock and the cpu committing an INTENTIONAL FOUL.

No mas. 2K here I come (begrudgingly)

Try playing the game on Pro and validate what some are saying about the improved late game AI. Apparently the cpu is not as brain dead in this mode. Give it a shot before quitting. All in all, I'm with you that this should have been corrected by now though it's not as bad as last year IMO. I'm testing Pro as well but have not had time lately.

I shut it down for the past week....

Needed a break after testing sliders on each level almost non-stop to the point where I got burn out.

But as mentioned before once they get some regular season games going I'm going to post a base set of sliders for Pro level which I think quite a few guys will enjoy and to be honest with you if the level didn't state it is was Pro most wouldn't even realize it

Now again I have a few house rules like Ratings Only shooting relying on EA's player ratings to determine more outcomes and defensively I tend to stick with one defender an entire possession because that allows the CPU AI to be on equal terms with my AI controlled teammates.

it will take time to adjust to those house rules bur I gurantee you afterwhile the gameplay will be become addictive because there's nothing like seeing a star CPU player abuse a lesser talented player in this game simply because his ratings dictated it.

game is far from perfect but it just feels more organic on Pro Level with tweaked sliders.

Just says "minor bug fixes"

Played a half before work

If there was a change it didn't immediately stick out to me....

Just gave it a run for 30 mins...

No mid range game still.

Dumb post animations still there.

Generic rookies like Okafor with no hair, Russel still generic, Porzingis still generic...Porzingis is possibly the worst I have ever seen. He is literally a random white guy with a three day growth.

Surely they could at least bother to get an artist to sketch someone remotely similar or give Okafor hair? These are top 5 draft picks for heaven's sake.

I do not like to sound negative...but I have no idea what on earth the LIVE team are thinking. 1.02 gig update and about 7000 synergy records...and nothing has changed.

No other modern, full priced, game is this poorly managed. None.

man i play i feel you...

I cant get that "first play thru of the demo" joy back AT ALL

I loved the demo at first was like OH man this could be something cool to play but it quickly became this "i wish i could edit the rosters i wish synergy didnt mess up the game" type of rant all the time

See, this is exactly why we need patch notes. I do not mean to embarrass you man, but Andrew over at NLSC has spoken to EA and there are no gameplay fixes in this patch.

It was just for some crashes and the summer circuit.

By having no notes, we end up with placebo posts like yours...and then a dozen more guys will say "hey, they fixed rebounding because I just got 20 boards with DeAndre Jordan".............when, actually, nothing was touched.

Again, I do not mean to embarrass you...but this is why we need notes.
