After playing a bunch of games in MyLeague....

MyLeague: Probably the greatest Franchise mode ever. I love being able to semi control teams to do things that i feel they should do. The level of customization is amazing, and the sim engine is probably the best one I have seen besides some Text Simulators. Add in Custom Draft classes, Coaches affecting teams, and the ability to affect each players peak/decline, its just a redone deep mode. The UI is also vastly improved over last year. Just amazing

Gameplay: Im having issues. I play on Pro with, at this point, heavily modified sliders (Rockets). I have major issues with getting past people without doing a stupid amount of stick flicking. And sometimes I'll do a custom size-up, and the guy guarding will just suddenly fall, even though Harden is just kinda doing a smooth start setup. Its like the guy was shot. I MUCH prefer last years on man defense. Good players should be at least get a half step on terrible/mismatched defenders. For whatever reason, I just don't like it. BTW, I have On-Ball D slider at 0. I always set this lower than most (last year I kept it around 20 for Man/CPU).

I also have trouble really getting the freelance offense's going. It just seems to take a long time, and I seem to run the same sets over and over (For rockets, a lot of these dribble handoffs). Im sure this is something I will get better at though.

Really it seems like I just can't get in a "rhythm" this year. Its kinda frustrating honestly because I really want to enjoy this game, and I just love what they have done with MyLeague.

Small Notes:
-Crowd for sure needs some tuning (I don't have patch yet).

-The FA bug where guys sign for small amounts is a real issue.
Once again though MyLeague comes to the rescue to some degree with editable contracts.

-In game PGs seems to to possibly get to many assists due to the quick passes in the post.

How do you defend alley oops? Every year I find it impossible

I haven't settled into a sweet spot with this game yet, either. Didn't help that I went 2 weeks without playing it due to work, but still, in the time I have spent with the game I haven't been able to kick back and just enjoy the game like I did with 2K15.

Learning a new control scheme, how players move on the court, how your AI teammates react on D, what the CPU is doing offensively, where to be to initiate freelance offensive sets ... it is a lot to take in. I know I'll get there, but having limited time to play is not helping the learning curve.

I think I finally figured out why my controller settings sometimes switch back to camera relative for no reason. It's caused by the game going into Demo Mode. For some reason the CPU-CPU games cause the switch.

Just now getting in to the creation stuff....I just spent sooooo much time designing my teams jerseys....

The amount of things to do in this game is unbelievable.

Regardless of difficulty level, the CPU's over-aggressive ball denial habits need to be addressed. It's one thing to deny a hot scorer, it's another to deny every pass on the court. At one point or another during every game, the CPU decides to deny every pass which leads to tons of easy backdoor opportunities by holding Y. Part of it is that the strategy is poorly implemented, the weakside defenders aren't anticipating a backdoor despite the team-wide denial strategy. Every now and then, when I'm facing an elite shotblocker, he'll rotate over in time but I'll make the extra pass and get a good look.

The user is stuck between a rock and a hard place here, it's basketball 101 to go back door when being denied but you also want to keep things sim and not abuse it. At the same time, it's very difficult to run your standard offense when the CPU is denying every pass. Passes get deflected/stolen, spacing becomes a mess, the recipient of your pass ends up far out of alignment from where he should be to run the play, etc. I mean, ball denial is supposed to cause chaos for the offense and force them to do something besides running their typical offense but it's not supposed to provide a ton of easy layups.

I was testing it on All-Star sliders over the weekend and hit Porzingis for six straight buckets on backdoor cuts when the CPU was in denial-happy mode. The CPU never adjusted until I made a substitution. I feel like I'm running a clinic on the Princeton offense as opposed to running the Triangle.

I just played my first playoff game in MyGM mode. I normally play the game on mute while I listen to the radio. I was playing a road game against The Heat and when I saw the crowd clapping as a group I had to turn the radio off to see what was happening. This is great! They're booing at the right time, the chants of "Defense" sound intimidating, and I love shutting them up with a clutch basket. This is the first time that I've felt like the playoffs are more intense than the regular season. Love it.

Had this happen the other day, it was awesome. The fact that it was synced so well was spectacular!!!

needs to be called WNBA 2k16 since all people do is shoot 3s and mid range because everybody's Olajuwon in the paint

Trying to finish the first year of MyCareer as quick as I can because it is off the walls boring me. Even if I hadn't watched it on youtube I still would have skipped since I make only once decision throughout my rookie year

Played a bit of MyTeam so I could get used to the controls and playbook. Amazing to see that I'm already rusty at this game, which is pretty cool

Also played a bit of MyPark and realised that at OVR 55 I'm still a beast when I play team ball. Doesn't matter how low or high you are, as long as you don't hog you'll be getting B to A+ games all the time

Also designed my arena and jersey design. Went for the Rockets/Hornets pinstripe jerseys which will look sweet. Definitely gonna need to upload my own image onto 2K

Overall, not a bad first day of 2K16

lower the defensive awareness slider. that fixes the issue. youll get more defensive break downs etc.

great game but I still have yet to figure out how to do on the fly subs and call plays with any consistency. is there a tutorial on this floating around

hey just so everyone knows, I took about 200hrs to construct a legends roster. I worked super hard on this thing. I'm going to be filming a momentous trailer for it this weekend. please search my roster by "content name," and the roster is called "chise." I labeled it as such because it's prime for associations and will make for great games against friends or for online associations as well as offline! please let me know what you all think. thanks a bunch! btw this is for PS4 users. hope you enjoy it! the season is right around the corner!

This needs a patch, big time.
Did you turn down lateral quickness?

Mike said he'd tweak weaker defenders ability to stifle you....

but if your still getting locked up with DA AND OBD at 0 you may need to rethink the way you're attacking...tried those settings out

https://vid.me/791m

and that's against Jimmy Butler...no moves at all..

Now if you wanna talk about those dumb flops that's a different story, lol

I don't have any concerns with gameplay forreal but online is still a JOKE. I've attempted at least 25 all-star teamup games today and have only completed 5. I'm not exaggerating. 5!. I'm pissed because I just seen a 2k commercial and they have the nerve to have a comment about the game being great on and offline. In addition this all-star teamup being janky as hell, I'm 8/0 in online quick game but I've only played 4 full games. The other 4 cut shortly into the game and I received W's for them. Was thinking my connection was faulty but I don't seem to be having any issues with Madden, COD, or MGSV online.

Things that irritate me about this game:

- 90% of turnovers I make are unforced. Most of these are caused by my player dribbling it off an opponent's leg, shoulder, arm, etc. Some times I get called for back-court because the CPU uses "the force" and pushes my player back and I can't do anything about it (stuck in animation). You literally cannot dribble in the paint as it will most likely get knocked off unintentionally by someone's body part; it's even worse when you're trying it with a big who has decent handles in real life.

- It literally doesn't matter which player is on the floor. The CPU's passing IQ is off the charts. Basically every one has the vision of a LeBron or Steve Nash. When someone is open, you can almost guarantee that he is getting the ball no matter who the passer is, yes even JaVale McGee!

- The 'physicality' in the game is sometimes annoying. I'm referring to the bumps and physical contact. It really pisses me off when I'm trying to blow past a defender on the break and the in-game contact causes my player to go into a forced animation where it bumps into the defender thus causing his momentum to slow down.

As a side note, I'm not very good at this game (playing Pro/Simulation) but man this game really makes my blood boil haha

I thought those super low, line drive alley oops were a thing of the past. Sadly mistaken. And when playing the CPU, I can so much as brush against another player with my ball and rightfully lose it, but I'm staring at frame where my player is literally clipping into the CPU's ball hand and nothing ever happens.

I don't mind the realism...I just wish it didn't arbitrarily apply only to me for sake of difficulty.

Since the last patch I'm loving the game more and more....just got cheated though with a invisible force field pulling me away from an open player, to prevent him from making a three, that should have been contested.
