I only seem to get steals in the paint when it's so crowded in there and the CPU fires a pass that happens to hit one of my players, causing a loose ball. Rarely will my guys stick a hand in the passing lane to deflect a careless pass.

Did another quick one on AS/Sim and these happened in the 1st

here's my defensive blunder video. this is on all star settings. i am the clippers and i traded for luke babbitt. babbitt is in the key and he is supposed to pick up the man in the right corner. he then looks around to see who to pick up...lays eyes on his man and slides to the opposite side to pick up a man that is already being guarded. he even sees the offensive player (acy) making a move to go into the key!!! SMH

i know devs said that there would be defensive breakdowns, so i am not sure if this is or not.

but great game, just needs a few tweeks

So I might be late on this... But again we've been seeing a lot of crazy things. That just seem to be straight lies. lol

Awesome!! I totally agree. I do the same thing the Grizzles. I start Allen. I try to keep one offensive player with either Allen/Green or Barnes/Lee or Carter. But I'll try that line up you talked about (in a defensive situation).

But just in general.... The Grizzles suck the air of opponents online. It's the only reason I've been playing with them so long. Teams always try to go small vs Z-Bo and Gasol. I call it "BBQ Chicken". But my opponents just get so frustrated that they can't fast break and call iso over and over. I played a friend who tried to speed the game by either doing 2 things. Either trapping the ball or trying to steal the ball from big men (a lot of the Grizzles plays involve the bigs handling the ball. So on back to back to back possession. He either stole the ball from me in the post up or stole it while I was setting up a play. After that I started to make passes as soon as he left his man. After hitting 2 - 3 threes. He stop coming lol


Here are some key things I do to keep my opponent from fast breaking on me.

-Run plays/time before actually trying to score.
-If you shoot a 3 pointer RUN BACK!.
-TONY ALLEN I can't repeat this guy name anymore then I did yesterday. Put him on the best player on the other team. Even if the user is a great dribbler. He will have trouble getting by him consistently. Curry was 3-19
-Try not to turn the ball over.
-And if for some reason someone gets beat off the dribble. Be ready to help out.

Anyone else having trouble with FT shooting? It seems that if I don't get a perfect release, I'm probably going to miss even with 80+ rated FT shooters. I usually get slightly early/late releases but in online games I still end up shooting like 2-8 and such

I was having the same problem last week. I just shoot a little early. And I've been hitting at a good rate.

I might've missed it during all the Summer pre-hype but can I access the D-League in MyLeague or is it only in MC?

It would be great if 2K could patch the MyCareer so that your first "real" season starts this year, not 2016-17.

This has been an issue for me since the last patch in 2K15.. difference between really bad FT shooters and really good ones is very small because of it.

Does anyone feel like they have slowed down the default game speed offline? I feel like the the plays and animations are more fluid and less twitchy. You can see the plays develop better and decision making on both ends of the court is easier.

What is the point of the shot meter under players? I constantly get the bar to be either a fraction to the right or left of the line shooting wide open shots off drive and kicks, yet I rarely make midrange jump shots to fall. I just lost a game to the Pelicans with the Raptors where I held the guy to about 6 points in the fourth coming back from a deficit but Carroll and Demar were brick city even while being left wide open

At this point I'm just going to attempt contested layups to try and draw fouls instead because its infuriating missing so many open shots

I'm actually having the opposite problem, when I first ran plays it seemed they were really smooth. Players were actually running around screens properly and getting themselves open. Now it seems they I'm getting more plays where they're not hitting screens properly so when they do run off the screen the defender is right on their hip.

I should mention this only happens like maybe 20-25% the other times the plays seem to run fine

Any solutions for the high assist numbers point guards are getting.

It's a combination of open big men down low (at least twice a game) and perimeter defenders leaving shooters wide open by wandering away for no reason (another two times a game, at least).

Outside of those issues being unresolved, point guards are getting double digit dimes with ease and not sure how to control that.

Unfortunately these assists are a product of poor user AI defense than my own man to man which usually results in having that point drive down the middle. But I can easily correct those mistakes.

Nope I wonder what would happen if user defensive awareness was upped. The teammate defense is "brain neutral".

I think it is combination of passing being too accurate, slippery on ball defense, bad teammate AI, late rotations and some control taken away from the user. I will spam the steal button off ball when I know they are going to pass but it will not register until after the CPU gets the ball not this is on SS/Sim

Pros:
Footplanting system and freelance offenses are jaw droppingly fantastic. Presentation on par with TV basketball. Wingspan and vertical reach attributes are finally in.

Best basketball game of all time? No!!!

Cons:
Truly horrible CPU-Hum gameplay. Poor balance. Human input is ignored most of the time or input delay is of cosmical proportions. Infuriating AI teammate defense. Live ball physics works only in CPU opponents favor. CPU defense is not challanging, it defies laws of physics. Playing versus AI is a constant, unrewarding grinding experience.

So far I f*ing hate the new movement/foot system. I don't care if it is more realistic, it plays worse! It's like my players are walking through mud. I feel like there is a disconnect between what I'm doing with the controller and the player on the court. Movement feels way too heavy imho.

Also, the ball and the CPU hands are clipping through me like crazy so he can get to rebounds or receive passes. Teammate AI defense is hilariously bad. Defending P&R seems broken because of that. He will not stay with his man regardless of P&R defense setting.

The only time I feel a lack of control are during some pass reception animations.

I find it's way more improved over last year and find it very playable.
I remember you from last years threads and i agreed that last years input lag was horrid. You noticed the improvement this year right?

I bumped the game speed to 57 i'm enjoying this game very much other than the stuttering which i assume will be fixed soon.

Been hopping between MyTeam, PNO, MyCareer all day...

The gauntlet in MyTeam is a lot of fun

Because it's crazy how pretty much every close shot/layup I see (where there's no contact perhaps?) that's off the glass touches nothing but net. Whether it's me or the CPU.

Well I would expect a bit of a higher % of those really close to the basket....but even messing around in practice...
