2) during free throws it sometime says my rating is a 90 but then sometimes the freethrow rating goes down to a 88. Again what is up with the fluctuations in this game.
Your speed is determined by your height for your position and I think weight . The taller you are the slower.

Your rating fluctuates based off of hot/cold streaks , badges , fatigue, teammates' badges etc ..

I might try this man...

Here's my biggest personal issue:

I hate how the 2K cam looks but it's better for game play
I love how the nosebleeds cam looks but I tend to play on the side near the camera...

I switched between the two like 30x last night in practice. I might just roll with 2k cam...

Or I might give your idea a try and see if it helps with moves.

I've been battling with this myself. I'm a broadcast cam convert since 2k12 so this has helped me a lot... I noticed my ball movement is a lot better on 2k cam this year though...especially with all the back cuts the Spurs have in their freelance.

Just a few quick things:

- Practice, practice, practice. Man has that made me enjoy the game more. I am beating some guys for easy buckets. I'm learning the plays and what my options are. I'm learning what my guys excel at and what they can't do. (i.e. Mudiay is a beast when you post up smaller PG's but can't shoot the J)

- The difference in bad/average/good/great is extremely noticeable. In practice I was the Nuggets vs Celtics. I'm running my plays and thinking the game is too easy (AS/Sim) and scoring at will. I go in-game and I try to run some plays for Gallinari and Wiggins is guarding him. LOL @ me. I'm trying to dribble around a set screen and Wiggins just cuts me off. I had no counter. I never saw that in practice.

A couple things I personally want:

#1 - The ability to set freelance outside of the game. Let me set it in my coach settings. If it's already there please let me know!

#2 - The ability to create a custom PB outside of MyLeague/MyGM. I love the run plays feature in the main menu. Scrimmage is cool and all...but I enjoy run plays better. Let me build a PB outside of a game mode. Plus, let's say you build a PB and you decide to restart after a patch: you have to re-create that PB.

#3 - Please give us an option for "traditional" sub method. I just don't enjoy the current format. I will probably get more used to it but in all honesty it takes too long in its current state.

_____________

I'm sitting here at work excited to go home and practice plays to improve my game and get a better feel for the squad.

It's sad how much this inner battle consumes me haha. I'm thinking about twitch'ing my games and chopping them up for highlights...and without a doubt a more broadcast view would be more visually appealing. But the game is difficult and I feel I'd be a fool for not taking the cam where I perform best at the game.

Always has to be something...

Can't believe you guys still playing on broadcast lol. Making passes around the court and dribbling are things I need to do. It's sooo much easier on 2k cam.

What is your twitch account?

One my favorite things to do is swing the ball from strong side to weak side with touch passes. It's by far the most beautiful thing in basketball for me. This years touch passes actually look really great.

Also just add to my on going impressions lol.... I love when the CPU drives the lane and then kicks the ball out for a jumper. I never feel cheated. Does anyone get the same feeling. And for the life of me... IT'S ON PRO....lol...

No doubt it's easier. But the view is bland...

I agree... I remember those long threads of 2k vs Broadcast. They use to pop all the time (They still do). But those were the main things that always came out for me. Playing like I'm watching basketball. Or playing basketball like I do in real life left is left and right is right. It's the same reason I have trouble doing moves/skills in FIFA.

I will always play broadcast. 2K could be the best game on the planet and if it didn't have broadcast, I would not buy it.

I like to play as if I'm watching a live television broadcast. It's why I still hate many of the camera angles used during the game. A lot of them are impossible to capture during a live broadcast.

It's still my opinion that broadcast should mean broadcast only camera angles. Unless the camera is actually in the arena, shooting the shot, the shot shouldn't be used.

There are angles that would require a camera man being on the floor next to the players while actual gameplay is going on. That takes me out of the experience whenever I see it. You see a lot of this during starting lineups and replays.

It also really bugs me to not see the actual camera man. For example, half-time and post-game interviews. Burke walks away alone. Where's the camera man she's speaking to? I can't be the only one that finds that odd.

Also why does Doris Burke change her outfit between halves? Does she do that during live games? Little odd things that catch my attention. But mostly the camera angles are my issue.

I've been playing since Thursday and I must say I am very impressed with all the improvements 2k has made. I'm playing MyGM with the Blazers and every game I've played so far is a different experience from each other. I love being able to run the P&R with Dame and reading the look the Defense gives me. This game of cat and mouse/ read and react is so refreshing because 2K15 was just so repetitive. (ie: blowbys all day)

Just a little breakdown of my "MyGM" experience

- I traded for Danny Green and Derrick Favors from the Spurs and Jazz respectively (got a shooter and low post presence to give Dame some support)

- played 4 games and now 3-1
- Lost first game to AD and the Pels. (Lost by 10 but they controlled the game and AD dominated us)
- Win the next 2 against the Suns (Both close games)
- Stomp the Wolves

In those four games, I learned the importance of ball movement and adjusting points of emphasis throughout the game. (Adjust all the time, especially when the CPU starts locking you up or they start making runs) What's amazing is that every game, other than Dame usually having a good game (which is a given) is that a different player stepped up each time. I had Green light up the Suns in both games, Favors had a solid 4 games and matched up against AD honorably. Heck even AMINU dropped 18 vs the Wolves. Mcollum was solid as our sixth man.

I'm just amazed, this game is light years ahead of last years. I understand there are some flaws but its positives far outweigh the negatives. I'm sitting in class right now itching to get home and play some more.

After a few games in I really love the new passing settings and I feel kind of dumb for complaining first.
Just one question: How can I do the fancy behind the back passes? Anyone an idea?

In general: This game is so much fun, even more then last year. I love the new animations and how every players feels different. Started a MyLeague with the Wizards because I never really played with them, plus I absolutely love watching Beal and Wall together. And what can I say? It really is as much fun playing with them then watching them. Only thing is that PnR plays on Pro are a bit easy, but on Allstar I still get my butt kicked. I guess I will change it if the next few games feel so easy like that.

To sum it up: Greatest sportsgame ever!

It's a couple of different ways to do "flashy" passes...I play on ps4 so you'll have to adjust if you play on Xbox or any other console. One way is to change the right stick passing to: "flashy" passes, and you can then do the "flashy" pass by holding the right stick in the direction you would like the pass to go. The 2nd way, is to double tap circle (again, I play on ps4 so adjust accordingly). I hope this helps. Also, keep in mind that they changed the right stick passing this year...

I agree I play on broadcast view, and this pass is damn near impossible to stop, and it's always on the money too, if they are going keep to this pass in the game, it should not be as accurate as it is...my only complaint thus far is this, and I do notice some clipping. Other than these two things, BEST SPORTS GAME EVER!!

Whoa. I never thought about that. Mind. Blown. SRS.

Again my complaints are about as minor as minor can be.

I play on lower levels because most NBA games feature very few blowouts and a lot of come backs. Rather play agianst the CPU where the computer isnt getting too much of a competitive edge and just want to play good games with CPU cheese or their Gary Payton D with bad defenders
Yep, IMO, the play art circle needs to be three times the size it is now so that you don't waste those extra 3 or 4 seconds trying to fight off the defensive player just to get to that small spot. I desperately need those extra 3 or 4 seconds.

You don't have to be in the play are circle for the play to be activated just the general vicinity.

Sometimes I think I'm close enough, but then it doesn't start and I have to move up another "6 inches" and by then I've wasted some precious seconds. I want a giant circle where there is no ambiguity.

1) The strange assistance coach dude that you see from time to time in the huddle. Bad voice acting too.

2) Too many blocked dunks.

3) Alot of blocks/strips where peoples elbows, backs etc somehow jar the ball loose. Very unrealistic.

4) NBA players, even ones rated a 70 or lower, are completely capable of laying the ball in the basket when given a little space.
This isn't reflected well in this game. Alot of missed layups with minimal contest.

5) Blatant bumping and grabbing animations that aren't called fouls on the perimiter.

6) Psychic defense (eyes in the back of their heads) by the CPU players. Legacy issue.

7) Is it just me, or is it impossible to know where these off-ball players are on the court defensively?

8) Not really a fan of the new substitution, POE on the fly controls.

9) Still takes WAAY too long to inbound the ball most of the time.

10) Animations that cause my defender to head the wrong direction (momentarily) when a fast break is initiated by the other team. Legacy issue.

11) Online input lag. I guess this will always be a problem.

12) Animations where the recipient of a pass tends to slide behind the defender while the pass is in progress. Resulting in a turnover. Very unrealistic.

13) Alot of out of context overhead passes that have no zip.

14) A drunken master animation that plays out too often when a guard loses the ball.

15) Alot of the lower rated players move WAAAAY too slow. Otto Porter Jr and Gortat defy the laws of physics with how slow his steps are.
Don't move anything like their real life counterparts (speedwise).

16) I've seen dudes in the paint for 6 secs+ with no 3 sec call on them. The 3 second rule application tends to be tied to momentum. Again, unrealistic.

Still the best 2K ever. Alot of this stuff, I would assume, is patchable.
Great List
